It does.
Sub out is currently supported with coaxial and optical out, only. And using the Ultra's DAC, of course.
A future update may change that but it's not sure, yet.
I guess you’ve bug reported this to WiiM?Unfortunately it's also 'supported' on headphone output, which causes subwoofer to play with headphones in the front 3.5 jack.
It may also do this on Bluetooth out.
Sorry, but there is no "warmth specific to the AKM DACs". It's a audiophile myth. As long as the rest of the DAC is properly constructed, AKM, ESS or whatever are totally transparent with no sound signature at all. Try a blind test with level matched devices: it is very revealing.Following some reviews, but also based on previous experiences (2 years ago I had a Topping D70s that had a warm sound) I bought a Topping E70velvet, which I connected to the Wiim ultra via usb and then coaxial. The sound it became metallic, shrill, my ears hurt...totally contrary to the warmth specific to the AKM dacs. Used with its dac, the wiim ultra sounded warmer, fuller...but it lacked the spatiality and the gap between the instruments.
Can you recommend a dac with a really warm sound, up to 1000e?
I apologize for the offtopic. Thanks in advance
My mistake...it is the Subwoofer on/off page - not the room correction ...set sub output to ON and you will get a crossover slider. That's no "crossover". You can set th llower and the higher frequency limit for correcting there.
If you want a warm sound adjust your EQ. The sonic differences between DACs are minute, I doubt many people can reliably tell them apart.Following some reviews, but also based on previous experiences (2 years ago I had a Topping D70s that had a warm sound) I bought a Topping E70velvet, which I connected to the Wiim ultra via usb and then coaxial. R2R dac is wHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR. That or one with Burr Brown dac chips.Following some reviews, but also based on previous experiences (2 years ago I had a Topping D70s that had a warm sound) I bought a Topping E70velvet, which I connected to the Wiim ultra via usb and then coaxial. Don't think so.. reports are the headphone jack is an afterthought kind of performance.Hi everyone. Does anyone know the headphone output measurements? How about with a Shenheiser HD800s?
Thanks, coaxial literally just dropped in, Love me some Amazon Prime. It does.

Not so, it has a dedicated headphone amp (chip) unlike, for example, most AVRs.Don't think so.. reports are the headphone jack is an afterthought kind of performance.
That's right. And that single slider controls the high pass filter for the mains and the low pass filter for the sub at the same time.set sub output to ON and you will get a crossover slider.
I haven't seen them either.. I'll have to double check which app version I have. thanks for the update. That's right. And that single slider controls the high pass filter for the mains and the low pass filter for the sub at the same time.
Or more precisely: That's the way it's been up until the the latest WiiM Home App version 2.11.5:

So, apparently it's now possible to disable either the high pass filter for the mains of the low pass filter for the sub. I don't think that this is something people have been asking for and in most cases it's a rather bad idea.
Those seeking even more flexibility with sub integration had been asking for separate crossover frequency settings and different filter slopes for high pass and low pass, not for the removal of the filter. I'm afraid that quite a number of users will be playing around with these settings without having any concept and the results won't be great. Only good thing so far: I still cannot see these advanced subwoofer settings with my WiiM Amp.![]()

Which frequency range did you use for WiiM RC?My sub is rated to less than 20Hz but I keep getting a steep dropoff around 40Hz with the room correction and the resulting bass correction is too much. I'm going to play around with letting the sub do the crossover and also doing room correction with REW and Roon........with a calibrated miniDSP USB mike
I'm also going to check the iPhone mike bass dB readings with my trusty Radio Shack meter.
I have the sub off in Ultra as I have an external DAC…My sub is now connected to my Fosi amp sub out. But I got a similar result with the Ultra DAC and the sub cutoff at 80 and the room correction for 20- 6000Which frequency range did you use for WiiM RC?
I've been referring to this scenario...My sub is rated to less than 20Hz but I keep getting a steep dropoff around 40Hz with the room correction and the resulting bass correction is too much.
So I have app version 2.11.5.24xxxxx and I don't see any of that control (quickly checks I'm posting in the right thread this time....) I can only see one slider for the Sub crossover fThat's right.
