To set the crossover, tap the settings gear in the upper right of the first page of the app’s room correction page
Play with the vrms, I dropped mine back down to 1 and the sub was significantly louder after that. Not sure which one I like...might up it back to 2

I joined the club today. Really difficult to get one at a local store in Germany but I was lucky and bought the only unit available at the time. Set up was not as smooth as described here eventually especially to make the unit aware, that I had a SSD attached.....But it works now and sounds as good as my Volumio Primo did.

Two questions: I had to connect it to my RME with COAX since I wasn't able to get it to work with optical out. Tried all resolution options but my RME wasn't able to detect a signal. Any idea?

And is there a way to turn the display off after a few seconds? The app doesn't seem to have that option and the display is now working constantly during listening.

My apologies if the questions have been answered before.

1) I had some trouble with coax but it was probably a cable thing in my case. I did find that I needed the lowest toslink resolution.

2) I don't believe you can control the display that way in use. You can turn it off of course but that's not what you want. In standby it will turn off the screen via a setting.

Re the optical output problem - are you definitely choosing optical as the output, as it does not output from coax and optical simultaneously?

I tried to connect it with Toslink at first. Of course I chose Toslink as output but there was no signal detected by the RME at full volume. So I changed the connection to Coax and it worked...

Yep. Went back from vacation about a week ago, and I still have to finish my testing.
Very much looking forward to the upcoming review (judging by the amount of pages on this thread, I suppose it is currently one of the most anticipated ones on this site..) - no pressure intended!
If I may slip in a personal wish, it would be great to read a professional opinion on the internal phono stage, if possible.
In any case, thank you very much in advance!

As long as the optical cable is not faulty and properly connected, then the issue must be with either the Ultra or the user. Without trying to be rude, it almost always is the latter in these cases.

I changed the optical cable to another one: still no signal. Since the procedure with Toslink and Coax is basically the same, it must be either the settings on the RME, the Ultra or me...;)

Or a faulty device.

Plug a Toslink cable into the Ultra, set output to Toslink, then play some music and point the other end of the Toslink cable towards a surface (desk, palm of your hand etc.)

Is there blinking red light coming out of the cable?

No light->no audio.

Thank you, I will give it a try. But tomorrow: time to go to bed now....

Regarding my concern about subwoofer mismatch in volume, I did not test with a multimeter but I'm increasingly confident that it's my subwoofer and/or room modes.

This is a desktop system with the sub under table and in the corner beneath my feet. This new SVS 3000 micro subwoofer is not sounding good anywhere. That could be a lot of things.

Found me an old DAC, almost forgot I had it. USB connected... Works!

Odds are you've already done this, but when you switched cables to optical, did you go into the Ultra's Settings --> Audio Output and change the setting to "Optical Out"? If not, make sure you do that before looking for the blinking light red light on the cable.

Plex Beta test is active over on the Wiim Forums though it seems like it is currently not much more than slightly more info coming in for iPhone users. It works similarly to DLNA right now. App support hopefully coming later.

Hi everyone. Does anyone know the headphone output measurements? How about with a Shenheiser HD800s?
