WiiM Ultra with ou without the AMP ? The sound of Amps ?

In my opinion adding a miniDSP can be very useful if you have multiple subs (see this article for some examples). If you have just one sub (or none) then it is not needed because WiiM devices have basic DSP capability built-in.

Yet another question if I may.
You said that the WiiM Ultra AMP is easier to setup then WiiM Ultra with two monoblocs of Fosi.
Will I loose some of the capacities of the WiiM with room correction and so on if I rather use
two Fosi monoblocs instead of the WiiM Ultra AMP ? Or what kind of set up are you refering to when you say
that the setup with the WiiM Amp version would be easier ?

Just that with external amplifiers you need to e.g. think about how to power them on/off (e.g. with 12V trigger cables), you need extra signal cables, 3 power sockets instead of one, and you may need to setup the levels to achieve good signal-to-noise without overloading the external amp's input. These are all things you don't need to worry about at all with an all-in-one device like the Amp Ultra or Amp Pro.

But you don't lose any functionality by going this route, no. RoomFit and all the other WiiM features will still work. And either approach can give you great audio quality.

hmmm, I think you are perhaps right, I will buy the WiiM Ultra AMP for now.

Later on I wanted to play around with DIY, even amplifiers now are for sale
for incredible prices out of the box versions, and so on. Thank You.
