I have now read in the calibration file and run the automatic room correction with several passes on a flat curve.
To my ears, this is much more pleasing than the same curve without the calibration file.
as a reminder...
cal files are generally easy to read...
and it is often interesting to do so to understand exactly what is going on, the areas concerned, the orders of magnitude, etc...
;-)

Just did the room correction, multiple measurements, each speaker individually with a umik-1 ver2 usbc to iPad Pro with calibration file installed. Results are very nice! I restricted calibration from 30hz to 1100. Soundstage improvements and overall slam.

have a question regarding PEQ, if i add +2.2 db boost somewhere and output it in toslink, do i need to offset it somewhere not to clip digital signal?
im not using Fixed volume, but my volume limit is set at 100% (i do not hear any abnormalities though)

Others can probably give you a more detailed answer, but yes you would typically use a negative pre-gain offset to prevent digital clipping if your PEQ is doing boosts. With Wiim, the only way I'm aware of to do that is to use the per-source pre-gain setting:

Does anyone see new VU Meter Designs?

small thing, but i would like to see what this wi-fi disconnect indicator looks like, currently im using hotspot for wi-fi, but keep the unit disconnected for tv audio and i like that the play button is ambient orange for this scenario (no matter what input is used)

Would be great if you could set the VU meter to input volume rather than output volume since I feel like they should be an indicator of the music's dynamics rather than the volume of the output.

Sorry, but I must disagree.
Yes, I can see it.
But you can also see that the Customize button is missing for me - and I have the latest firmware and the latest App.

...then maybe turn off/on everything, if not then restart everything that might work

Firmware version needs to be 5.2.708441

I still haven't received it myself.

Edit: Just saw prior posts that some folks have the firmware and app but no customize button. So no ideas.

Of course not if you have such fine golden ears as I do.

The WiiM Ultra is not merely a streamer—it is a sonic revelation, a gateway to an audiophile world where music unfolds in its purest and most untainted form. With unparalleled precision, it weaves an acoustic masterpiece of the finest tonal textures, allowing every note to shine in shimmering clarity and breathing vibrant life into even the subtlest nuances.

Its dynamics are breathtaking: gentle pianissimo passages float weightlessly through the air, while powerful fortissimos envelop the listener with majestic intensity. The sense of space expands with a depth and breadth that transports you into the heart of the musical performance—as if you were right there, surrounded by musicians in perfect harmony.

Every single tone, every echo, every whisper of air between instruments is rendered with an astonishing transparency. The bass is not just a dull rumble but a powerful, tightly defined foundation that supports the entire soundscape. The mids glow with warmth and organic richness, bringing voices to life with mesmerizing presence, as if the singers were standing right before you. And the highs—silky, shimmering, delicate like the morning sun playing on dewdrops—lend the music an almost ethereal lightness.

But it is not just technical perfection that makes the WiiM Ultra extraordinary. It is its ability to do more than simply reproduce music—it makes it tangible, carries emotions, and fills the heart with deep, resonant joy. This is not just a device—it is an experience, a sonic treasure that elevates the love of music to an entirely new level.

That, I swear, is the pure truth my audiophile friends
