I didn't say that Inter Sample Peaks don't exist. My point is that if you care about this (because the DAC designer did not), then a margin of -3 dB is no guarantee. Obviously we didn't understand each other too well.
However-3dB is a god guess that’s likely to cover most of them in your record collection . You are right that with a pathological waveform they can get arbitrarily big ( almost ). I usually guess-3,5 dB

I'm impressed by the auto switching of inputs, it's never failed to switch, it's never switched when it shouldn't, and I think it's a reasonable time in order to get the first to 2 points right. My MC phono stage isn't noisy enough to switch when not playing music, which helps, the stylus hitting the groove is loud enough to trigger it, I never need to manualy change inputs, with how I use it.
Yes I noticed the “thump” when the stylus hits the record is enough :)

And my CD player the SMLS 200T are one of those who turns of the carrier ( no lights in the optical cable ) when in standby so turning it on via the remote makes the WiiM auto select optical

Found the real issue it’s seems to stick to “Bluetooth” much longer than any other input. As the remote toggles forward trough all sources once you get to Bluetooth it’s sticks longer and then suddenly you are 3 clicks ahead once it resumes.

You can hide the Bluetooth input if you never use it.

Neat hiding in the app caries over to the remote to .

Do I whish for an actual manual :) I’m used to more linear reading , there are faq and forums for WiiM yes . But only this getting started manual :( what’s wrong with an actual manual that describes all features including room fit ( next up for testing… )

They seem to keep adding features on a regular basis so it would soon be out of date.

It would probably require a dedicated full time resource to do a good job given their speed of development.
I do miss really good manuals, but only the really good ones, anything less and you end up just going to the internet for answers.

Just wanted to let you guys know that the RCA to XLR cables from Benchmark work perfectly for connecting WiiM Ultra to Topping B200 monoblocs (which have no single-ended inputs).

Specifically these cables:

.. and if you dig a bit there are more instructions on the WiiM site and a better manual  and room fit instructions
....anyone found instructions on how to limit the roomfit range to below shroeder like 300 Hz or something or du you blast away do the whole suite and then just make your own PEQ profile based on roomfit discarding the data in higher frequencies ?

The sweep or pink noise (in mmm) is full band...but you can define the processing area

Hi all, considering wiim ultra vs node icon. The key difference to me is dirac vs roomfit. Setup is ascilab a6b to apollon Et6525 to either streamer to sony TV. Is roomfit good enough or is it worth it to go for node to use dirac?

Thanks everyone
