Hi, I've recently acquired a Umik 1 and I'm seeking advice on its use. Putting aside learning REW until I get a feel for room correction using the room correction on the Wiim Ultra. I understand that running the separate channel room correction is optimal for asymmetrical rooms ? If so should the microphone be pointed directly at each speaker during their respective left and right sound sweeps or directed at the midpoint between them during both sweeps? Cheers

Which direction should I point the UMIK-1?

The ~30° difference between pointing at the midpoint and pointing at the respective speaker will not impact the resulting measurement in any meaningful way.
