Put a resistor in the wiring to the LED. Or a switch that is in a drilled hole at the rear.

Quite possible, but not everyone's thing. I would do it though. The 4-line switch looks simple and all is accessible.

Oddly enough, I asked years ago for CA to implement a "total darkness bar a pale orange light" for my streamer amp - just a few lines of code, but it was ignored - the point being that while I like the display and the switch lights (quite bright in the dark though) to come on at startup or for a user change of state, I like to not be distracted by any lights on the units when I listen in semi-dark. I totally get the issue with the amp above and hope the maker fixes it - it would be a silly show-stopper for me (but I am able to bodge kit).

I couldn't have that in my rack as poweramp below TV. Other appliances have to dim to the max, this button looks really bright.

OTOH audiophonics does a pretty nice case for a very competetive price. They should add a little switch nonetheless.

Free duct tape strip or a pair of RayBans supplied ?

I'd buy audiophonics, but in the UK, no doubt I'd get tariff punishments and many of them seem to be randomly made up by couriers, so I'd buy Nord instead - they're a drive away, up-country, so I could menace them in the street if needs be (faults etc)
