Wiim room correction advice

Outstanding my friend. Great news!

When WiiM added the L/R option, I expected the result to be better than selecting stereo. In my case, the L/R sounded awful. Not sure if they have made any changes to it after the initial release.
I have a WiiM Mini and just tried Roomfit with it (it works on the Mini, too!).

When choosing the L/R option, my app does the sweep only on the left channel. The right channel plays only the "noise". The resulting adjustments are bad. I believe the L/R implementation, on the Mini at least, is bugged.

To clarify, this is what I hear during the measurements:
  • Stereo Mode:
    • Both channels play a sweep (no "noise")
  • L/R Mode:
    • Left channel
      • Sweep
      • "Noise"
    • Right channel
      • "Noise" (sweep is skipped)
Does this match what the Ultra does?

I have 3 Ultras. The attached follows the process I use:

Hope it helps.

Bought an Ultra. To answer my own question on the Mini, the Utlra does "proper" L/R sweeps - i.e. it does not have what I believe is a bug, where the Mini just plays noise on the right channel.

Like Taiga earlier I, too, didn't like the result of L/R. I suspect it's because I have a single subwoofer and the separate measurements are not combined well in that region.

I like what I got in Stereo mode with: range 30-4500Hz, Smoothing 1/12 Octave, Max positive gain 3dB, Max negative gain 12dB, Max Q 3.

Some references on WiiM I looked into: Practical guide, Basic settings.
