WiiM Pro - Review & Measurements (Streamer)

Maybe they don't. I get strange eq correction, quite different from the one REW with umik suggest me

I could see the RC option in the menu after updates, but I did not touch it yet.

Yeap, it works.
Of course, based on the phone mic.
It displays the corrected curves, all that.

So... if I use some old cheap Iphone do I get much more accurate results than using Android?

Give it a try and see how much they differ. My results were pretty similar using my android phone and tablet compared to partner's iPhone 14(?) and iPad.
I will finally be giving it a try with my UMIK-1 later and, if I get the chance, will try to compare to PC+REW to see how they all differ.

I find I get pretty different results with my two Android phones. One is enjoyable, one is boomy and unusable. Next step is to experiment with an external mic. Any suggestions for an affordable compatible mic? Cheaper than the Umik ideally.

Yes, I have Umik 1 and I did a measurement some time ago. But it is difficult for me so I love automated RC systems. I also have Yamaha with Ypao.

External mic with Wiim!?

Not sure if you can use it with the WiiM Home App though.

Sure you can. I use my Anthem mic.

Look on the Wiim forum. Lots of discussion. Umik works, IMM-6 hit and miss depending on model and phone

You do know that you have to remove the phone from the prottective casing, right? ( I'm just kidding)

It's hard to keep the thing balanced and press the next buttons at the same time. But it identified a 8 db peak at around 200 hz which was buggin me. So, nice job!

Quick in actions, low in knowledge but it shows different results than Android mic.

Also sounds very good.

My fault, I forgot to switch the eq off before running the test
If that's the case and you engage the saved " auto" and measure again then that should result in a rather flat response, right?
