WiiM Pro Plus vs. WiiM Mini + Fosi ZD3 for Fosi ZA3 Setup?

Hey everyone,
Looking to ditch Bluetooth for Wi-Fi streaming to improve my sound. I mostly use Spotify and SoundCloud for streaming.

Current Setup:
Fosi ZA3 32v
ELAC Debut 2.0 B5.2 (+ S10.2 Subwoofer)
Ugreen Bluetooth receiver (ldac-support)

Budget is tight, so I’m looking at two options specifically:

1)WiiM Pro Plus (€235)

Vs.

2)WiiM Mini + Fosi ZD3 DAC (€285)

What would you choose? And why? Is there another better budget option that I didn't see?

Just buy the Wiim Mini; you won't hear any difference compared to a DAC..

Or buy the Wiim Ultra, not because the sound is "better," but because you'll have the option to high-pass filter the satellites and improve the quality (less intermodulation and more SPL) without any modifications.

If you have some technical skills, use a Raspberry Pi with CamillaDSP for crossover, streaming, and room correction. It's not much more expensive than the Mini, and just as powerful as the Ultra.

Audiophilia is expensive hobby.
Use your phone or computer for streaming - $0.
Use Apple DAC for output - $10.
Use Aiyima A7 to power your speakers - $50-70.

When you want a separate standalone streamer with room correction to boot - it's different game, different money.
I have Wiim Ultra connected to 3e Audio A5. could not be happier.

Agree with the above, just get the Wiim Ultra, specifically for the bass management which is vastly more important for sound quality than whether the SINAD is on the "inaudible" side of the scale or the "even more inaudible" side.
