I have two Pro Plus and both are connected via WiFi. I haven't had any problems with the connection. I find them free of any trouble.
Thank you. It has been reassuring to hear from several people with first hand experience.

FWIW, I had a P+ for 9 months or so, as far as I recall, not once did it drop a connection to any of the external music servers. a week or so with the Ultra that replaced it, same stability.

Been using a Pro + and a Mini for a year or so; FB2K sees them as output devices via UPNP/WiFi. Both devices have performed perfectly, no faults and not a single drop out. Really impressed.

I have a question. Just bought a WiiM pro plus to use it as a streamer, too because it gives me a possibility to connect my phono to the line in. I just listen my music by headphone, a MrSpeakers Aeon flow closed. Headphone amplifier / dac : RME ADI-2 DAC.
Record player Thorens td 160, Alphason HRs100 tonearm, Kiseki blue cartridge, all bought around 1984…. Phono amplifier: Musical Fidelity V90 Lsp. Last 10 years or so I did not play my records ( about 200 ) anymore, most, not all, of them I can find on Qobuz…
I connected the recordplayer to the analog input of the WiiM and it does not sound as I wish.. too warm, high frequencies disappear, dull.. Line in / ADC within WiiM pro plus set to 192kHz-24bit
Probably the cartridge is worn out ?? I am thinking about buying a new cartridge or new recordplayer.

Do you think the quality of the line in - ADC from the WiiM pro plus is worth an investment in a high quality phonocatridge / record player??
NB as English is not my native language excuses for my mistakes

no...the adc input is quite modest
…. but (IMO) more than good enough for almost any record player: see Amir’s test on page 1 of this thread. The suspension of your Kiseki may be dried out, and the rubber belt of the Thorens as well. And while you’re at it: clean the platter bearing and give it a drop of very thin oil.

Nothing wrong with your English: it's better than a lot of native speakers!

I can't see that it makes any sense to replace the TT/arm. Perhaps a simple service: drive belt, bearing oil, suspension tune, and get the Kiseki checked. Like me, you probably now realise how limited vinyl is. If the Kiseki is finished, I would replace it with something like the AT VM95 series (there's a big range of styli available). Does the V90 do MM as well as MC?

Thank you for your reactions. About 15 years ago I sent the Kiseki to Benz in Switserland , he replaced the needle and did put some sort of oil on the rubber suspension of the Kiseki. I can’t imagine that the needletip is worn out again because I did not use the Thorens that much…. Would it be possible to “ moisturise” the rubber suspension again?
The wow and flutter seems to be OK ( measured with a iPhone app ) between 0.07band 0.1, but the RPM is a bit high between 33.8 and 33.99. Perhaps a new belt makes a difference.
The V 90 does both MM and MC. If the Kiseki is finished I was thinking about a Skyanalog P1-m or indeed a AT VM 95SH or VM740 ML

I really don't know enough to advise about the Kiseki suspension, or indeed any other (I have LP12-Ekos-Arkiv and AR XAU-RB300-Elys). I wonder if there's a track on a test disc that shows up suspension issues? I would guess that if it tracks well at the right downforce it can't be too far out.

Well, at 315Hz this arm/cartridge combination hardly manages to play 70 mu by 2,5 grams. Recommended needle pressure for the Kiseki is 1.8 grams - 2.2 grams…

sorry for your kiseki...
maybe just a new retip to be expected?

(ps the story of your speed (impossible value) and w&f is really dug, with other methods..these unregulated ac motors are subject to fairly slow speed slips depending on the mains frequency but in fairly low proportions like +-0.05%..)

Perhaps the way of measuring is not right.. when I use an oldfasioned method…a stroboscope.. the lines do not stand still, slowly, slowly moving forward..it is not possible to adjust the speed.. perhaps the motorpully is worn out.. I will try to find out if there is a repair centre for this old TT in Holland….

In the absence of network (wired/wireless), can the input port of Wiim Pro Plus be connected to PC or mobile phone by wire? Can Wiim App be used at this time? Thanks very much

You can't connect or configure a Wiim device without a wireless connection between the phone and the wiim device.

However, once configured, you should be able to drop the connection and the Wiim will operate as configured indefinitely.

Wiim pro plus does not have a USB but you could buy an SMSL D10s or similar and connect USB via coax/toslink.

The phone and Wiim have been connected and configured in advance, but suddenly there is no network. How can Wiim still work at this time, Bluetooth connection?

In that case the Wiim could play from a USB source that has local content like a computer or phone that downloaded music, but that would be it.

OK.Thank you. Can Wiim Pro Plus be used as a digital player? Can it directly play the audio source in USB?

With an additional DAC like the D10s, yes.

This is a complex way to play music on a computer but you must have your reasons for asking.
