It is a few months old. Didn't know they had fixed it.
those provided for review at the beginning of August pose a problem..the modified (on the hardware side) arrived at the beginning of September

given the appearance of your thd vs frequency curve.. is "v1"
(ps no ap32 ?)

(the first measurements of onlyoneme (wiim forum) during the summer had pointed out suspicious behavior at low frequency..if this "guessed" on smpte etc..it was especially in thd vs frequency that it became evident...by insisting a lot , brought wiim to investigate, and find a hardware problem adjusted on the following series)

(ps for observing the impact of the eq mode..could be good b observe what happens with minimal correction..and the impact in phase vs frequency group delay etc
by principle...an eq mode via dsp is observed in "correction" , and your 44k doesn't really allow you to investigate the DSP processing mode ;-)

I have pro plus pcb v3 . Good but I find the bass light ( compared to internal dac of amp with coax or optical ) , drum hit light no matter how high the volume or voltage setting . It could be my preamp?

Looking forward to the Wiim Amp review. That one could be a great low-budget fully-featured amplifier with a subwoofer output.

This one seems perfectly solid, no surprises there. They found a formula for their streamer and just iterated a little to make it better.

Good job Amir!:)

Okay, 4-band Parametric EQ function in WiiM Pro Plus is of course much better than nothing at all, but why not a few more bands? Would it be that hard to add? I have no idea how the software in WiiM Pro Plus works, its base, programming capabilities and so on. Data is not my forte.

Is that 4-band Parametric EQ user friendly? Or does it require a lot of tinkering with various settings to get it working?

They have said that they’re looking into more bands.

At first I wondered whether that’d be possible, or limited by the hardware, but I understand they’ve now introduced 4 band PEQ to the mini, so who knows.

to help avoid causing more confusion and for the sake of rigor, it would be a good idea to forget this review and have you loan a "standard" version modified, and carry out this review.....

personally I still haven't understood why they still haven't increased the number of bands... in the fall of 2022 they announced that if the mini could not manage more than 4 bands, the pro (and therefore the "plus") could do much more...they announced the "soon" arrival of a 10bands.... I don't know if it's due to technical difficulties or if only their energy focused on the wiim amp all these last months

This is the reason why I haven't bought it yet: I would like more than 4 equalization bands... even limiting the corrections to those that can be done under 350-400 Hz...

And also I would like to know if in UpNP, fast forwarding in music pieces is functional with Audirvana... because it is not, for example, with Heos by Denon-Marantz...

Could be many, many things other than your preamp. ;)
The WiiM Pro Plus doesn't have light bass. Response is dead flat down to 10Hz.

Great work, @amirm ! I won't comment on the product itself, I already did ad nauseam. Just glad to have another third-party verification with my own, with the addition of (p?)EQ impact on SINAD.

This has been answered thousands of times: NO.
Congratulations again for your measurements and your work on this version of the Wiim Pro Plus...

And of course also to Amir for their confirmation! that's a change from the nonsense about the "fruity low midrange" and "the 58 hours and 12 minutes of break-in"...

In fact, we have here a network player which only lacks an HDMI output capable of transmitting sound in multichannel, because multichannel music is a big plus in quality...

Great product! Is this the best desktop streamer so far?
Having a max output voltage configurable to 1V lets you use it with a Hypex NCxxMP power amp with no fears. This is a plus over any topping/smsl dacs so far.
I'd love to have it with xlr...

Thanks for the review Amir been looking forward to this one.
Brought one a couple of months ago and have been very happy with it. Very stable both in the device and app. Blutooth remote is a bit of revelation after decades of inferred.
One issue I have encountered is that very audible clipping can occur when using a bass shelf PEQ. So I've used negetive gain HS filters to achieve the bass shelve.
Here's an example for my he400se headphone.
