hi,

i'm at a head scratching moment and would like some input.

my main setup is wiim pp>fosi za3>kef q350-jbl powered sub. the goal is to pretty much rolloff the kefs at or near 80hz and let all frequencies below that go to the sub. my room pretty much dictates that, as i can't move anything around.

the za3 has a dedicated sub out, but i think any peq i do with the amp has an effect on the sub. as in, a full rolloff at 80hz in the app would pretty much cut off anything to the sub.

i'm thinking if i do a steep q cut between 40hz and 80hz would do the trick, but i'd like to confirm that.

i tried a couple of the fmod inline crossovers (100hz and 70hz), but that wasn't really ideal. if that's the best option i have, i'd just like to know.

thanks

edit: another possible option (albeit adding another device) would be to get a wiim mini and feed the signal from that to the sub only. apparently it can be grouped with the pro plus. it sounds like a worst case scenario, but one that could do what i want.

To high-pass your KEFs, either do WiiM->JBL Line in->JBL Line out->ZA3->KEF and enable the JBL's satellite filter, or upgrade to a WiiM Amp/Amp Pro/Ultra and use its built-in subwoofer integration functionality.

thanks. i may give that a go. i'll have to cut some speaker wire, but i have plenty. i may try the douk a5 for it's built in hpf, but i may be circling down the drain at that point.
