Why'would you expect to hear a difference?
 
I'll try it after work but just in case anyone else has and knows the answer, if you're using Amazon mutiroom for 2 devices, does it work if you leave one of the devices on HD and switch HD on the 2nd device off or does it have to be off on both?

Got the following response from Wiim:

We will release Deezer in this week. Now we are waiting for the Deezer Approval, after we get it we will release the new Deezer ASAP.

If something isn't working, open a ticket with Deezer. Constantly whining in this thread doesn't help anyone, and gets to be annoying to the rest of us.
 
and the unrestrained dithyrambs forgetting to specify the known cases where the little mini is still not functional ..?

just warning with honesty does not take anything away from the efforts-results obtained by the support of wiim for amazon etc

A few people on this thread claimed they have measured pretty bad distortion levels (clipping?) for the WiiM Mini TOSLINK output. Digital clipping is fairly easy to hear unlike typical harmonic distortion, so one would expect to be able to notice at least some differences in SQ.

I sent to deezer the request to support wiim in app, as directly recognized device, like Spotify, Tidal and Amazon do (in order of effectiveness).
It would be much better.
If I remind well, they automatically reply "maybe in the future"...

They clearly stressed to my PM that the new DEEZER API will be released this week. Let's see whether Wiim can fix the issue.
 
My WiiM suddenly is not outputting from toslink. Checked all connections, rebooted and tried again- app works fine but no output sound. Connected through DAC to amp and all connections seem ok. Any suggestions?

Make sure your Audio Output setting hasn't changed to "Aux Out" or bluetooth. Also, try using another source with toslink out (to your DAC), to make sure the problem is the WiiM.
