The Mini gets the room correction function. Very nice and I wasn't expecting it.

Looks like one must be an RPi enthusiast to implement the display.
Yes, I now have the same fear after reading the website of the display and the link from Ralph

MUCH simpler than an RPi. All of the support infrastructure comes pre-installed on the display, no SD card involved. Four steps to get this running:

1. Install Thonny on your PC.
2. Load the two files into Thonny
3. Edit the "secrets" file with your WiFi login, WiiM IP and time offset
4. Push the two files to the display with Thonny

Still no native LMS on the Mini but it got room correction?

Everything is there, everything works.
Room correction with external microphone and calibration file possible, so everything is the same as with the Ultra, if I haven't overlooked anything.
Mini is going to Maxi

Pushed this to GitHub.

Thanks for checking. Does the Wiim app run on any particular version of Android? I assume there's ZERO chance the app will work on an Amazon Fire tablet?
You can't download the app from the app store. Not sure if you can side load it - worth checking on the WiiM forums

If I connect a Wiim Mini to my SMSL RAW MDA1 via optical (for added convenience vs using my laptop) should I expect the Mini to have any impact - good or bad - on the audio quality I get from the MDA1 to my headphones? Saw a video on YT over the weekend that suggested it might have a detrimental effect...
