Wiim announce WiiM Amp Ultra

Wiim Amp Ultra vs Eversolo Play, hmm, which one is easier to integrate an active subwoofer with?
No idea as both items are not available to purchase yet but i suspect both will be simple to setup with active speakers ..

I think the subwoofer management will be the same as the wiim ultra streamer and the dmp A-6 streamer, no ?

It would be nice if they made a true power amp version of this with the dual chips, no volume and no DAC, that is designed to be used with the Ultra but probably too niche for Wiim.

Very nice review. If I were to set up a simple home theater I would by a large screen TV + WiiM Amp Ultra + Ascend Sierra LX + SVS SB-2000 and have a killer 2.1 HT.

Little to no use really.
Hoping @amirm's review isn't far.
Agreed, too much talking not enough data. Also, his comment about not being able to get loud enough on 89dB/W sensitivity speakers with 200W@4R at 10 feet is kinda weird. Seems like he just needed to increase the gain on the HDMI input? Shouldn't have any issues getting extremely loud with that amount of power.

Yeah that’s rather odd. In theory a single 89dB/2.83V/1m speaker can do 102.4dB at 3m (10ft) with 200W. So a pair of speakers should be at least 105dB. Which, for clarity, is very loud.
