For me not good enough to use for a main system. It's good, but not exellent in my book.

But for many this is a great device that has a lot of functionality and still is easy to use, a quiet good technical perfomance and a relative cheap price. This kind of devices we need more in the mainstream hifi market. I installed one for a technoob friend, and she love this device in combination with the Wiim sub and a pair of (passive) LS50's, and does after a fast walktrough not need my help anymore (and that is with her an archivement). It also fits perfect in her small fancy citygirl appartment, on style and size.

I don't use streaming, and a MiniDSP flex with a better analog in and a sinad above 100dB is a lot better than this. The amp part is ok for me. I use old Hypex Ncore amps. But the digital part should be better, better more advanced dsp and better dac's. But i know i'm picky, most are not, and love this Wiim, that with all it's functionality is cheaper than the MiniDSP Flex that is only (!) a preamp, dac and dsp with room correction. It's for it's price a very good deal, but does not have the functionality and quality i want. My source is a computer with Jriver and a technics SL1200 turntable with a Cambridge CP2 phono stage, my amps are seperate, so my setup costs a lot more and require some technical skills that many don't have (to setup and calibrate).

It's what your requirements are, and for most, the Wiim will do an exellent job. But not everybody wants the same. Some use streaming, some use only local data, some use active multiway setups that require more advanced dsp than the Wiim can offer, and so on. Again, it's a good priced, good functional and good enough quality package for the technoob mainsteam, and even good enough to atrackt others also in some cases. This would fit a lot of situations, but not my serious listening setup. If it fits you, it's good, and it's also on my recommend list for a lot of situations, but it's not what i would buy. But my requirements are not mainstream, i know...

Still does not achieve the specified 100wpc @8Ohm and 200wpc @4Ohm?. And the measured power is the max I believe and no room for peaks beyond that? One of the drawbacks of WiiM's UI is they have not prioritized the processes of audio playback with the highest priority. Try changing the playback screen to one of the fancy VU meters and the audio will stop playing and many other menu functions will do the same... lol. A lot have improved from the earlier wiim mini s/w but nothing perfect yet.

A Yamaha R-N303 with MusicCast that sold for $250 will beat this any day with a stable software, amplifier power, radio, phono and two set of speaker outputs. $280 more only for a fancy touch screen? Some might like the blings ;).

I voted "Just Fine" because the Amp Pro is much cheaper with the same performance.

Minus the display and with less power.

EDIT: Online notice now says security updates will be available until December 2029 which is nice.
If anyone here thinks this is generous, keep in mind 4 years of software support makes this a disposable product.

Why I only use a computer connected via USB to a DAC as a streamer.

I do the same nowadays. Audirvãna makes it a breeze!

Computers are also disposable products, even if you accept that it must be thrown in the trash as soon as support runs out for some reason.

Thanks for this and saving my money. Staying with my picoreplayer/lms setup, although I'm missing a display and the look a like of a hifi device.

While I think that support period is fine, your broader point does make me hesitant to buy these all-in-ones (for the same reason I went with passive speakers over active). I can live with one component (the streamer) becoming a brick because a company goes out of business, or stops supporting the product: I’d hate to lose my whole setup because of that.

Mind you, I now have 4 WiiMs in the house so it’s going to hurt to a degree if they fold, anyway.

Agree. A cheap Android tablet connected to a DAC will do much more with a generous touch screen surface and the freedom to customize the UI to hearts content. Also could be remote controlled by a phone, there are apps available :).

For years , I'm looking for amp with 2.2 active crossover to setup FAST. Full range with subwoofer. FAST usually need crossover range around 250hz.
Wiim could have hit all my check list except for mono subwoofer out .

Need advice , if the mono subwoofer split into 2.2 dual mono sub for each left and right at 250hz.
250hz is chooses because my full range is Visaton B80 3inch with GF200 as a subwoofer

Does it destroy stereo imaging ? I'm using it mostly to listen to music

Thanks and happy new year

I tried this setup and could never get anything that worked smoothly (especially with PEQ). For about the same price as a very cheap android tablet, a WiiM Pro/Pro Plus is a much smoother experience.
