That does not mean he’s not interested in reviewing it. It just means he does not have one to review.Because he dont receive one from the company wiim.
Same for me (Germany)Anyone got a replacement unit sent from support yet? They keep saying their warehouse have no stock![]()
Yes, with the optical auto sense the amp switches on to HDMI - could be a bit faster but it's fine for me right now. They also replied to my ticket and announced the following feature for next week: "enable your amp to automatically enter standby mode when your TV is switched off" - niceI also have an LG C9 and the WiiM Amp and it doesn't seem to support CEC power standby over HDMI. It doesn't automatically wake up from standby or go into sleep when my TV turns on or off. However, with both line in and optical auto sense enabled in the settings, the amp will automatically switch to HDMI ARC input after a few seconds of continuous audio playback on my TV. I put in a feature request for a more explicit HDMI auto sense option and also a CEC standby option and would ask that you please also file a ticket via the app.
I also checked my PCB_Version - it's "PCB_version": "4". Not sure what this exactly means. There is coil whine but for now it's kind of "okay" - not sure if it will annoy me in future.Looks like my buzzing WiiM Amp I received from Amazon US yesterday is: "PCB_version": "2". Either the fixed power supply is a future version, they didn't rev the version for this minor fix, or the power supply is versioned separately from the main PCB.
You got this via http api? Interesting.I also checked my PCB_Version - it's "PCB_version": "4". Not sure what this exactly means. There is coil whine but for now it's kind of "okay" - not sure if it will annoy me in future.
Yes, via Http API: WiiM_AMP", "Release": "20240104", "FW_Release_version": "", "PCB_version": "4",You got this via http api? Interesting.

Any buzzing or coil whine on your rev 2?I actually have:
"PCB_version": "2"
I haven't had too many problems though at least once when it was supposed to be in standby it got hot and was making audible noise that I could hear a couple of feet away, but I quickly rebooted and it was fine from then on. I also think with the latest firmware it is properly going into standby so staying cool.
Well as I said one day it was buzzing relatively loud but that was an exception. But until the new firmware yesterday, it had a low level hum in standby (at least more of a hum than say some of the Fosi Audio TPA3255 Amp's that I have - though they have external power supplies).Any buzzing or coil whine on your rev 2?
Sometimes just being able to listen to a station is more important than the quality offered.and the dab+ remains of low quality and you can even find much better on compressed streams on the network (which is the meaning of such a streamer) ;-)
Of course...Sometimes just being able to listen to a station is more important than the quality offered.
Did you force both the TV and your source to PCM and disable passthrough?Received my amp earlier today. Streaming is working fine, but I have an issue with the HDMI ARC doesn’t produce any sound. The TV and Wiim are connected no problem (amp volume can be controlled via the TV remote) but absolute silence. Played around with the various settings on both but no joy.
Any ideas?
Although it would be interesting to see which pcb version you have! We now have some version 2 and version 4s reported that have humming.My device arrived yesterday and I don’t even have to go into the web api to find out which version I have: it’s giving off a constant humming noise that’s easily audible from 1.5m away. That’s both on and in standby. Dang.
