Why use a Qudelix 5k instead of good Bluetooth headphones?

I have the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds and the Sennheiser Momentum 4 bluetooth headset. They both sound great with Bluetooth to my phone or DAP.

The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro use Samsung seamless codec with my S23 Ultra. Amazon Music HD says it is doing 24/48. Switched to the Momentum 4. I think it uses some Aptx codec. Amazon also reports it using 24/48 on that same song. I don't think the Qudelix or BTR 15 would beat the sound quality from either of these.

Yes, DAPs are usually more expensive, but also have more advantages. I have my complete ripped CD collection on my DAP. A DAP will generally have longer battery life and more power than a dongle.

One possible reason is that current TWS earphones are mostly disposable devices, and when their battery fails or cannot be charged, it will cost at least $100 to buy a new one. Instead of spending tens of dollars on a wired IEM

Another reason is that due to the battery limit of TWS, its bass may not be very abundant, as bass of the same volume requires 10x or even 100x power in the mid frequency (equal loudness curve)

That's why I still use a pair of Buds+.

In less than two minutes I can replace the batteries in each earbud - no soldering required.

Hey guys recently got the qudelix 5k to mainly use with a pair of Sennheiser 6xx. I think I got it all set up and so far sounds amazing. I also have a pair of Bluetooth headphones I wanted to use. I stumbled upon this thread after having issues. I assumed these could be used with Bluetooth headphones but is that not the case? I can't connect the 5k to my android phone through Bluetooth and listen to Tidal through my wireless Bluetooth headphones? Is that correct? I agree with the original post then, isn't the point of bt to be wireless? Don't see the point of Bluetooth if the headphones still need to be wired. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something here. With that being said, using the 5k wired with the eq is awesome.

The Q5K is not a bluetooth transmitter. If you want to use your bluetooth headphones, connect them to your phone, or connect them to the Q5K with a wire.

Correct. The 5K is a Bluetooth/USB input -> analog headphone output device.

It cannot send audio via Bluetooth.

Being able to untether from your phone is already a major benefit IMO.

You can buy compact 40-50cm headphone cables to make the 5K->Headphone connection low profile.
