Why do I hear difference between FLAC and AIFF?

I would suspect a volume difference between the output of both formats. The louder, the better...

Edit: Too late.

Manually matching volume is not enough. You need to match the volume to within 0.1 db.
I see. The thing is what I say as “the diffrence” is not within 0.1db kinda accuracy range.

I need to try this again and make sure again though I remember the volume is almost (not sure about 0.x db range) same.

As long as different formats have different default volume values...

Are the Orbi's connected over wi-fi or Ethernet backhaul? If you're creating your mesh wirelessly, then you loose quite a bit of bandwith for your devices. I don't know the specifics of the Orbi setup, but typically the 5Ghz band might be used to connect the mesh nodes, which only leaves the 2.4Ghz bands for device connections. I use an Asus AiMesh network and all my access points are wired for this reason - I do appreciate that not everyone is prepared to flood wire their house with CAT5e (it was a while ago!).

Over wi-fi. I want to remove any kind of as much as possible. That’s the reason why I get B&W Formation Duo.

B&W formation duo can only connect to 2.4GHz. I do not want to wire anything since I figure out the solution.

The weird thing about my problem above is, “technically, according to B&W technicians” even though someone uses streaming device next you, this should not affect the listening quality of spakers. B&W’s wireless network (this product line is meant for multi-room entertaining system, like sonos) should secure enough to stream(airplay 2) music without problems. But they also mentioned in case of big music files it might happen.
So, I got the YES and NO as the answer. -.- Anyway, I found the unique solution now, and I need to send kids to school.

sangbro, to help you debug it, I made a bunch of files in different formats for you to try. They are the same 30 second snippet in 24-96 AIFF, properly dithered and downsampled to 16-44 AIFF, 16-44 WAV, and 16-44 FLAC. I used XLD to convert to FLAC.

I just checked them and they all sound the same here. You can download them and test them to see if it is an issue with your playback system or your coding to FLAC. Hope that helps.

24-96 AIFF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vIuJHs1PTVV_no8kzYz1VLCFW86xHKfp/view?usp=sharing
16-44 AIFF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dPRqUgjUnz1tL2zomU_em_O0l4y-F7As/view?usp=sharing
16-44 WAV: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xC4qvNbpbaTaWODh-NRAmlQbSm3ucQtG/view?usp=sharing
16-44 FLAC: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ayFRTnTib0-CSB48fhV7wdaOkdwe7OuD/view?usp=sharing

EDIT: It would be good for at least one other person to confirm the they sound the same!
EDIT 2: FLAC conversion only in XLD, the rest of the processing (SR and bit-depth) was with iZotope.

Thank you so much! I will download once I get the hotel room.

I assumed that you used XLD to down-sample.

It is not day and night difference, but also not that subtle as well. Once I confirm my initial assumption (that there must be something in the middle process), the trouble shooting would be a lot more simpler.
