The Jazz aspect is really a corollary to discuss complex forms of music which could be applied to many "more popular" forms of music in a modern context

I think jazz went from pop status to classical jazz sort of popularity limited by the masses choice between pop and formal jazz stuff.

I like most everything dependent on time and place. Some more than others and more often of course. Jazz for me is a cool piece if it is organic.
