Why an AC Power Cord cannot make a difference

I also had to upgrade the power line in my street all the way up to the street transformer to get audible benefits.
It costed me a fortune but the improvements are so evident I can't get around it any longer.
Now just imagine the benefits you'll get from upgrading the HV distribution back from the street transformer to the power station. Shouldn't be too pricey if you just go for silver plated rather than solid silver conductors.

The powerplant that's where the source of all mains power is... and I do not mean the one from Paul McClown.
Have you ever wondered what power would be best suited ?

Hydro power (for that liquid sound)
Wind power (for that extra bit of air)
Solar Power (for the ultimate brightness)
Coal Power (for a blacker background)
Natural Gas power (for a more natural sound)
Oil powered (for that smooth sound)

It's not just the last meter(s) that matter but the source is.
But if the audiophiles and audiophools are right ... everything matters. :D

Yes OFC can be less prone to corrosion - so might have benefit in coastal areas.

There are no audible benefits though.

Having said that - I don't think I've seen an audio cable recently that isn't OFC - so choice is pretty much irrelevant.
Yes, it never seemed to have any audio effect, if no one ever saw it, it would likely just continue to look unacceptable to others.
But then I suddenly get a statement from my wife: "Dear, would you please do something about this, it looks horrible?". Since she is rarely annoying, I change the visually offensive cables out within a few days (since she likely won't say anything about them again for a week or so).

Don't forget... nuclear power (for that radiating heavy bass)

Nuclear Power (for the ultimate slam)

EDIT - just saw @JSmith ’s post - who beat me to the nuclear power option

Don't knock it till you try it! 240dB of dynamic range is nothing to sneeze at... if you're next to the plant when it goes kablooey :)
Not a bad way to go :)
My second best, first is probably a super-volcano.

After having spent my lifetime savings for power chords I suddenly became aware there’s nothing left to deal with these crappy 12V trigger cables. Gonna start a gofundme and hope you guys will chip in.
Is the misspelling of "cords" intentional or do you play lead guitar?

I would have to look up the auto correct log of my mobile device. As to guitars I know what they are used for. Where my involvement ends.

And whatever Tesla (the man) was using to send power through the air (for that indescribable, invisible, nuanced sound)
Fylingdale in Britain, I think is was located. Tesla was into some serious electricity.

So, another completely derailed thread, right? As always. Frankly - the forum is disappointing.

We are clearly not worthy of you.

I had voltage sag in summer with the air conditioners running in the neighbothood.
.
The only audio problem noticed was the beep-beep-beep of a power strip that includes an alarm, and will even shut down if the volts are too low.

The Power Company Engineer had the Line Truck Guys put a meter on my meter for a month.

He agreed with me, and replaced the local transformer that serves maybe eight or ten houses.

Now I get my full 118~120V at the rack.
