Whom do you miss the most?

John Bonham

David Bowie.

Many have gone in the last 4 or 5 years but it turns out he meant more than i'd thought.

This is very interesting. Clever people.

John Bonham
1980. I remember where I was, on my bed, squat in London, listening to the radio. The end of an era, Led Zeppelin could not exist without him. An era for me, Led Zeppelin, Whole Lotta Love blasting forth from the radio, in amongst all the pop songs, was a turning point for me.

John Lennon too, the same year.

Mike Bloomfield, Sylvia Marlowe, Charles Mingus, Paul Badura Skoda, Dizzy Gillespie, Jimi, Bill Evans, Magic Sam, Albert Collins.

Long John Baldry
Luther Allison
Hugh Masekela
Ennio Morricone

For me, the ones I miss the most are the ones who seem to have been killed by the pursuit of their art. That group includes Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Bill Evans, and Jim Morrison. The creative flame seemed to burn so hot in them that it literally consumed their lives.
