Who buys $20,000 components?
Who has $20,000 of their own or borrowed.Who buys $20,000 components?
Do *you* have any thoughts at all on this question? I find tiny importunate bumper-sticker-sized OP kickoffs like this kind of frustrating.Who buys $20,000 components?
And yet we still take the bait and respond.Do *you* have any thoughts at all on this question? I find tiny importunate bumper-sticker-sized OP kickoffs like this kind of frustrating.
I wonder what those 3 people do for music listening. The can afford anything that would strike their fancy.Elon, Jeff and Bill.![]()
But definitely not Warren.Elon, Jeff and Bill.![]()
Or for whom it is a lot, but saved for years to get there.People for whom $20K is not a lot of money.
I have an SDP-75, a JBL rebadged Trinnov Altitude 32 with presets for various JBL and Revel speakers, that is in the $20k range. I got a good deal on a B-stock that was returned unopened by a dealer for an upgrade. At the time, the options for 15 channels were very limited, and the flexibility and "end-game" capabilities of the SDP-75 made it reasonable especially compared to the money I'd spent in the previous ten years or so on more advanced AVRs. I never expected to have something so expensive, but have been happy with it. Worth it? Eye of the beholder...Speakers may technically be components, but for me the word refers to electronics.
There is nothing in that price range I want.
There is something frivolous I might want, and that is a local hard copy of all the music I listen to.
