Great, thanks for the detailed and balanced subjective opinion. What source(s) and speaker(s) did you use with it?
Now if you get bored compare it to one of the cheap Merus MA12070 amps? ;)
say the Aiyima A8 or Sabaj A1 (2022 version).
My system is as follows:
•Monitor audio silver 100 7g with upgraded crossover (ask if you want to know details)
•bkelec double gem subwoofer
•topping e50 DAC
•Rpi3b+ with Digi hat running volumio.
•Both DAC and RPI are run with individual "studer 900 30w 5v linear PSUs" from Ali express.

I have actually just received the pillor electronics ma5332 amp board which I will be doing an overview and comparison once I have it in a box and up and running.

nice. I haven't heard of this one yet. Is this amp chip tech moving fast or what?
Why are you interested in the ma5332 instead of the ma12070?

It sure is! I've owned a smsl sa300 before that was based on the ma12070 chip. It's my understanding that the ma5332 is a more powerful and slightly upgraded version of the ma12070 so I figured I'd give a try. I wasn't too impressed with the sa300 so I'm not expecting this newer chip to be better than the TPA based amps but hey once i get it up and running we shall see! I've attached a pic of the board as well as PSU I plan to use with it.

Interesting. But if you are looking for different then you have definitely found it. It is not related to the MA12070 at all. It is based on IR-series architecture.

The MA was added because the MA12070 marketed very very well.

Well I wonder if a contributor could be that it was a sorta integrated amp with lots of features versus a basic amp-only design like the Aiyima A8.
I'm curious how that one sounds as it's a super basic design with just a volume pot and nothing else have a look at the A8 guts/PCB here.
Really I'm just trying to get other opinions on the sound of the MA12070 to see how many people sorta agree with this opinion that has similar sound preference to mine.
From this and other opinions I'm reading it seems like it's less of a "rock n roll" dynamics amp than most of the TPA3255's, but thats' OK for my music preference.

That's why I lean to power amps. Get anything unnecessary out of the system including pots for volume control. I control my volume through the topping e50 DAC in pre amp mode. Works well for me!

I'm with you there. And having too many features, inputs, dacs, digital displays, more knobs/switches, etc., all while trying to keep the price low... I think they make shortcuts elsewhere in parts quality or mistakes or shoddy/problematic builds in order to still squeeze out a profit. I'd rather have stuff sound good and look boring, if hopefully not downright ugly.

I have already experienced MA5332MS chip with Sabaj A20a 2022 and SMSL A300 but I am very interested in this amplifier board. I would like to try a pure MA5332MS amplifier without any decorations. At the time of MA12070, I bought 4 amp boards and tried various things.
By the way, this amp board should need two power supplies, + and -, but your power supply looks like a +32V single power supply. Can I use it as a single?

I think this gentleman is the designer. https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/ma5332.379537/#post-6950635

No idea if he is active or would respond to a PM but his layouts seem decent. Same guy who does those red/blue HS MA12070 boards. I wonder if the input opamp can be bypassed for BAL input? I think 2092 is the closest direct comparison architecture to the MA5332 and people seem to like it quite a bit. I would love to see one of these measured. Was going to get some dummy loads to use with my COsmos ADC until I saw the price of dummy laods and started reading on external AES notches.....

Browsed into this AOSHIDA A7, not mentioned yet.

Do I see a separate volume knob for each channel???
This product is branded as Aoshida HIFi, but it seems that it is actually an OEM product supplied by DOUK AUDIO. The same products are also sold by DOUKAUDIO and Nobsound.
It is a unique design in which the R-ch and L-ch volumes are separate and independent.
Unfortunately, there is no picture of the internal PC board, so I cannot judge how much the product is.

I've purchased the Douk Audio version of the amp mentioned above. Once it arrives I'll provide some feedback.

So much of that amp seems like needless visual fluff. The two pots, VU meter, and VU sensitivity knob...all zero effect on the sound. I prefer that money be spent on better parts that improve the sound quality. Say one good Alps pot.

Hey all,

I'm trying to find info on possible OpAmp upgrades for the 3e TPA3255-2CH-260W . My 4 boards came with NE5532P - is OPA1656 a noticeable upgrade? I'm mainly using single ended input. Cheers

Looking for a module with which to replace the excellent, but very failing PA5 topping amplifier, I found an interesting application of TPA3255 and TPA3251 chips on AliExpress.
The claimed parameters of the circuit on the TPA3251 chip do not differ from what Topping PA5 offers. What do you guys think about it?

Got the Aoshida A7 for a week, sounds great when it was working the first few days for power hungry Emotiva ERT-8.3 towers. Used the XLR input, up till 1 JAN when either the left or right channel will drop out after a few seconds of listening. Returned and ordered the Douk version, arriving Sunday. We'll see what happens.
