The motherboard in my computer has an integrated audio chipset that crackles. I bought the iFi Uno, and that solved the problem. However, new issues have appeared. Sometimes, after starting the computer, the iFi is detected as UAC1, and then ASIO refuses to work. I have to unplug the USB and reconnect it at the back of the computer to fix this issue. People say it's iFi's fault.
Problem number two is the inability to control the volume from Windows—I have to use the knob on the DAC.
Is there a DAC that allows volume control from Windows and has better drivers than iFi? Ideally, something based on a Sabre chip, as I like a bright sound. I need only trs 1/8 stereo output or rca.
