Which electric vehicles sound like the beginning of Bohemian Rhapsody?

I'd fancy one of two sounds when running/moving off. One is the traditional USS Enterprice warp-engine sound and the other is the 'Jupiter 2 loud whine which builds and builds...' if thery're too loud, then Strakers 'turbine-engined' car from 'UFO!'
As for EVs, do leave off - you'll be taxed out of them before too long I reckon

I kind of got it (the vocal harmony sound, not the words - my wife didn't - and she's a massive Queen fan).

After designing round the many shortcomings of piston engine for over 30 years the superiority of an electric motor means my V8 petrol cars are just interesting dinosaurs

You're not alone, Multicore! I found your post when I googled "electric vehicle pedestrian sound chord bohemian rhapsody".
I thought exactly the same thing you did, maybe six months ago, when I first heard one of these. I immediately added "Is this the real life..." in my head.
There seem to be multiple vehicles emitting this particular sound, which is completely independent of vehicle speed, but the one I most commonly hear is an Audi SUV. Since I pointed it out to my wife, she now calls all these "Queen Cars." Once you hear it, you can't un-hear it
A federal mandate went into effect in September 2022 that requires too-quiet vehicles to emit some form of sound to alert pedestrians. The relevant NHTSA document is Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 141, Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.
On the positive side, I found this forum thanks to the Queen Cars, and I'm enjoying reading it, especially since I worked in professional audio in the 1970's building and installing custom studio consoles and disc mastering lathes.

I have hundreds of LPs and 4 turntables, all technically good IMO, but I haven't put a record on for a very long time.
I would say I only use an LP if the bit of music I want to listen to next is on LP but it hasn't happened for, probably, over a year.
I would choose 'Live' Dino-Rock to 'Faux' BohemianRhapsody any day.

The ideal sound is obvious.
I have been hearing this too. Usually while lying in bed with the windows open so I have not been able to tell which make and model. But after some sleuthing today I found this Bluesky post where someone replies that the Nissan Leaf is responsible for that sound. I am going to have to keep an ear out the next time I see one.
