Which browser do you use and why?

I value security and privacy. I've been using Librewolf (a Firefox fork) on my computer for over a year and have been very happy with it so far. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. I currently use Brave Search as my default search engine.

There's also a portable version of Librewolf for Windows that runs from a USB stick. But be careful: if you have saved passwords from websites, someone can have full access to your accounts if they get hold of the stick!

On Android, I use Vanadium from GrapheneOS and Brave Browser.

To make life difficult for my ISP, I use a private DNS.
I'm not currently using a VPN for personal use.

I use Opera, Vivaldi (Opera's fork) from time to time, a very convenient interface.

Never Chrome or Edge.

And i'm going to try Librewolf.

Firefox on PC because I refuse to use Edge or Chrome for reasons stated above. Lots of good, effective add ons for ad blocking too. If it were more memory efficient I'd be far happier.

Duck Duck Go on Android. Same reason.

I'm in Apple world. I use Firefox with DuckDuckGo. I'm also blocking ads on my entire network with a RPi running Pi-hole as my DNS server. It works well, but sometimes I have to disable it in order to download certain files which I assume are hosted on the same file servers as the advertisers.

I'm intrigued, what is a private DNS (DNS.SB as linked in the OP's post)? What are the pro's and con's? I'm a networking hack and really know very little about what I'm doing, so I make changes cautiously after learning a bit more each time.

Same goes for me.
I switched from Google Chrome to Firefox because it feels more private, with better tracking protection. I also like how it’s less resource-heavy and customizable.

Firefox 99.9% of the time, various blockers, DDG and only ever fire up Chrome if a site is too non-functional on Firefox.

I use half a dozen browsers for different purposes. I have chrome/chromium/ungoogled chrome but barely use them. Mostly I use Brave and Firefox. MS Edge specifically on Windows ever only to stream Netflix content with multichannel audio.

I'm always puzzled why anyone would ever save passwords and why software even allows this.
The whole idea of a password is that is stored/saved in your brain exclusively, and only thing you do with it is type it, real-time.

As for the thread question, whatever browser is present on the system I'm using. If I have a choice, then Firefox or Opera.

Firefox, with Brave on the side for videos/streaming. Definitely keeping an eye on all the junk Mozilla is currently pulling, though... May have to pivot off at some point.

(ideally to a Firefox fork like Waterfox, haven't had the best of luck with Chromium-based browsers under Linux recently -- middle click paste is always enforced and drives me crazy, awkward autoscroll, Vivaldi keeps closing randomly)

The new Ladybird browser can't come soon enough.
