Which amp / avr for 2.2 setup ? (with a room correction)

Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm planing to do a 2.2 setup.

Setup :

x2 kef Q350 to start (have some laying around), then x2 r3 meta or x2 r6 meta.
x2 Svs 3000 revolution

Which amp / avr should I look into? Bonus if it has a room correction like audyssey.
I was looking at the wiim amp ultra, but it only has 1 subwoofer entry.

What source(s) do you intend to amplify ?

I don't want to amplify any source, i'm just wondering if I should buy an avr or an amp. I would like something with a room correction software like audyssey, i don't have time sadly right now to try to do it by myself.

Maybe i'm confusing things, and sorry if I do!

Two options

An Onkyo TX-RZ30 - but with external amplification (see review at ASR) for the Front L/R channels - and perhaps other channels used later

This Onkyo has a paid license for Dirac Live and supports DLBC at an additional cost.


A recently discontinued (IF still available) Denon AVC -X3800H 9.4 channel AVR

OR a new, Denon AVX-X2900H DAB 7.2 channel AVR

Both Denons support Dirac at an additional cost and the '3800' supports up to 4 channels of Atmos

I would get the Denon 3800H or above because it has 4 subwoofer outputs and Dirac ART upgrade path.

I have one and I’ve found the speaker preset feature to be versatile and allow me to use Dirac and A1 Evo Acoustix switchable using a remote.

Denon x2900h offers only single processing channel for subwoofer. If it works for you, then you can look for many other AVRs, for example Pioneer LX305 or Onkyo NR7100. I would go for Onkyo RZ30, Denon x3800h or x3900h. These support multiple independent subwoofers.

Any Lyngdorf 2 channel amp, their .2 handling and room correction is second to none IMHO

You can get a pre loved Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 for €1500 or less. It does everything you want.

Another vote for the Denon AVC/AVR-x3800h. It supports A1 Acoustix from @OCA , which is free and much better than Audyssey, and gives you the option to upgrade to Dirac ART. Plus, it has 4 independent subwoofer outputs, which could be handy, e.g. if you ever want to upgrade to Dirac ART.

Used Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 nice balance of esthetic, build quality, and room correction if you really do not plan on expanding to more then 2.2

Hello,

After some thoughts i think i ll settle for a marantz cinema 50. I will ́ever expand beyond 9 speakers for that room.

Also, after a x3600h and x4800h dying in less than 2 years each i ve decided to just ditch denon. So far my cinema 30 is rocking.

From what i ve gathered marantz components are slightly better quality? Idk but at least the cinema did no go out in a year like the x4800h. And living on a very remote area of the world exercing warranty is a very costly and long process. So yea i know on paper they are 99% identical, but let me believe

Green one is not a difference, power amps look quite the same.
