Where does EMI/EMC, leakage current, common mode noise and other considerations belong on the "audibly the same" discussion?

As far as integrating them wouldn't it make more sense to straight isolate the internal I2S lines?
Yes, you can also completely isolate the analog side but that's not any easier/cheaper. You have to isolate I2S, but also I2C for chip control, mabye some GPIOs for elementary controle (muting), and maybe clocks, and of course a supply.

ASR needs fight club back.
I’d like to suggest a sub-forum called "The Ring," where people can let off steam and then return to the other forums once they’ve had time to cool down. A warning system could temporarily restrict access to the main forums for a couple of days, allowing those warned to engage in heated debates and vent frustrations exclusively within The Ring. -A virtual punching bag.

There has been and I suspect will continue to be a goodly portion of cross postings and misunderstanding on this thread .

1. Be civil and less argumentative please people .

2 . @HaveMeterWillTravel I think this post might be the cause of some confusion . I've read it 3 times in light of the previous 2 posts and still not sure what you are leveraging into your question /discussion. Judging by some responses I'm not alone . You might want to amend it https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...udibly-the-same-discussion.60134/post-2202213

I was attempting to have a legit discussion on factors which potentially may lead to audible differences in specific instances separate from the "cure all" snake oil. Such as one of the root causes of "hum" on a technical level.

I understand that . I'm telling you where I think at least one of the sources of confusion arose from . Not that you were acting in bad faith .
