Where do you get the correct specs from when it comes to AVR/AV?

I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I get really frustrated when I can't find all correct specs from manufacturer or the info is inconsistent. I try compare and view different models etc but its so hard somethimes to get the correct omfo. As an example: Denon X3800h, I can see in their specs on the website, in the bottom, 'Yes' marked that it has MPEG-H support on its product page, but in the info-sheet and manual, not a single word. Is there another level of documents or sites that can give correct info for AV/AVR, similar to what https://www.displayspecifications.com/ does for TV's? Thanks!

I'd trust the manufacture's website or user manual more than a 3rd-party source.

MPEG-G doesn't seem to have anything to do with audio/video... Do you mean MPEG-H?

Yes, sorry H, thank you for correcting my typo.

Disappointing some spec sheet separate from the manual has more info. Have you tried asking them directly?

Thing is, I tried via their US site once regarding X6800h and chatted, ended up that I had to correct them… I wish I had a Japanese mail or some sort. Thank you!

I wouldn't put too much into either an online chat or phone conversation with their basic customer service reps. While you start with those people, you need to keep forcing the conversation up the ladder to their supervisors until you get someone in engineering (but could be incredibly frustrating IME to get there :) ).

I wish all brands put some effort in their product pages, we nerd like specs, simple as that!

Are you sure?

From page 132 of the manual.

Point being, absent the occasional errata, you can usually trust the manual to give you the correct specs.
