Title says it all.

We can't all be only listeners? or can we?

I want to share what I have been doing BUT I am aware that the invaders
may come and burn down out houses etc if we open the flood gates....
so yeah, hmm, if it's cool then I will post a link to my BandCamp page.

Of course I would love feed back. and this is THE place to be. Quite.

and yes the stuff I am producing is not super duper amazing, BUT I am
getting better.

It's all 'lectronic Shoe Gaze Synth Wave kind of nonsense.

Waddayareckon ? Go or nah ?

Cheers!

Bob.

PS I made this cool graphic from scratch from my latest track. I think it is grouse. : -)

PPS I gave up watching the paint drying/kettle boiling/upload bar of life etc

Follow this link:

May be a good idea to turn your stereo down a bit, it sort of starts off ... loud ?
( I pegged out the limiter somewhat... advice ? What is dynamic range anyways ? )

Have a day!

Hi. No bites. I can dig that. I guess I should try to make something worthy of the ASR aestetes.

Do you want dynamic range ?

I have always wanted to try out actual recording.
somewhat limited by my gear.
Shure sm58 Mic and focusrite sapphire 6 48Khz adc.
I can get access to a real double bass. Aha!

Music concrete?

Mmm I see a field recorder on the horizon.

Have nice day!

I gave it a listen. Nice work. But it seems like a fragment rather than a full song?

Or maybe you're into short songs like Jello claimed to be:

Or Volbeat:

Hi @5ynth3t1k! I'll bite :p

I like your Cover concept and mix. The instrumentals would feel totally at home in a 16-bit game, which is right up my alley.

Two suggestions: Make your vocals louder (or the rest quieter), and try playing with color contrast/complementary colors for your Cover (but keep the composition).

yes. Attention span of an SR71 BAC TSR2 ( at 200 ft ) on crack. unless hyper focussing, then time truncates savagly. its a thing.

the Dk's now that takes me back. Holiday in Cambodia is the classic.
How Do you rate the Gang Of Four?

Thanks for listening. I am working on some sub bass tracks, may do a live dub mix. loads of delay feed back tweaking...

cheers!

Cool! I have a propensity for chiptune type riffs even though i record in live. more on the way. rilly need to wrap my tunes up... the new tune has sub bass as features... i was told not to do this.. so i did done it... shrug.

vocal nesting is a thing. i hate ducking etc.

I do really outrageous colour art work and this was a departure for me. i like it as is but i hear you. as you can see in my previous track arts i can do colour saturation.

thank you Heaps!

I listened and it's tight tight clean sound needs a bit of bass/low frequency to liven it up and maybe just maybe a little more thump on the toms if those where toms.

cool thanks! no toms but... will find some ...

Now that i have sub bass monitors i will start doing sub bass versions of tracks.
I mean literally sub bass aditional sounds NOT a sub bass EQ...

Thank you tons!

I don't think the vocals are necessarily too quiet for this type of sound, but you have to bring it in front of the synths in the depth plane
Sure. I get you. Im still warming up to cool mixing tricks.

Thank you!

Gang of Four's influence definitely reaches far beyond their popular staying power seems to have done. Thanks for bringing them up, it had been a while.

Curious what brought you to ASR to share your music? Thanks for sharing, by the way, hope we see more of this and glad @Doodski started a thread.

I have lurked here a tiny bit over the years. what made me sign up was the reading the review of the Edifier mr4 monitors, which i rushed out and bought ( on special i might add ) and had to join in the fun.

Why i posted my music links here at ASR ?

Do we listen to music on our stereos ??? so this is the place to be. we are the people, with audio gear.

I think that there are nexi which smart people pole star around, they have interleaved interests and usually are pragmatic aesthetes about the actual act rather than people trying to get clicks... if you get my drift.

Entertainment by G of 4 has an amazing sound.

im one finger typing this on a pad... its no easy.

Thank you sir!

Referencing to medieval people dancing around a pole with ribbons and...? I don't get you... LoL.

yes sir! you wait till i get my cow bell going... :- )
Yes, a bit of percussion in the background and doing small solos and stuff to let it shine and then maybe a percussive groove in the background. Is it possible to initiate time mistakes and the power of notes in effort to mimic a live instrument? Like the percussion guy with Ahmad Jamal... He has roots in percussion for several decades. I'm thinking use these sort of sounds of percussion or other suitable ones to sweeten the emotional response to your music. As Bangra, progressive rock and some jazz does sound good mixed together so to could this.
This one shows the palette of the percussionist.

Well the electronic cow bell was popular in the 80's... bring it back Cuz. :p

Just don't bring this back (the music... not the video ;) );

JSmith
Hehe.. I was not doing stuff she does at that time whatever time that was... LoL. I wish I was...gg* I was more Deep Purple, Led Zep, The Who etc.
