Pretty cool that Russia is almost completely surrounded by cases, yet only has 4 cases themselves... in the middle of the country no less.

They're definitely great at containment... of information, at least.

They are right up there with China when it comes to reporting the actual figures.

Even now, most experts are not trusting the figures coming out of China. Something about saving face.

FWIW, a kid at my daughter's school (but not from the same class) tested positive, coming back from an Italy holiday. This is definitely getting closer to me now and more concrete...

Italy has really been stepping up its distribution vector game with visitors being infected from all over the world and then taking it back home to their respective continents.

China, can't trust their numbers.
Iran, can't trust them @ all, on everything.
Russia, just forget it...they live in their own bubble just like North Korea.
North America, they didn't see that one coming, with clear understanding...coming from the above first to start.

It's the elders who need our protection, more than ever. Plus the vulnerable with heart conditions, etc.

The Numbers, of people infected? Who knows ... certainly nobody.
When reality sinks in wash your hands ... this is not a drill.

All the people on our planet should have their own test kit, IMHO
That would be a wise first step for generations to come living in a world of Artificial Intelligence and Climate Change.

Yes , a bunch of schools and doctors surgeries are shut in Torquay thanks to Italy and their miss handling of this , and the Tenerife issues are Italian in origin.

This should be considered as a warning with us playing apprentice sorcerers...

We splice genes, we pollute our environment. We declare war upon micro-organisms which were the earth' first inhabitants, with a million of years leg starts and with uncanny ability to adapt. We forget that there are more of "them" than us. In our own bodies , the ratio is 10 to 1 .. We have 10 times more of microbial things in and on us than cells.. The ratio makes it nice but a simple subtraction makes it scary: We have about 10 trillions cells in our bodies ... The number of microbes inhabiting our body is 100 trillions ... 90 trillions more ... They are always there ... However much Lysol and hand sanitizers we use ... We are only beginning to understand their importance in our immune systems, in our bodies' response to microbes and illness ... in the meantime we kill indiscriminately .. anything we think are microbes must die .... We do not usually cure viral diseases : There is no cure for the common flu, a viral disease....
So the responses are the usual ... Washing hands, not touching faces, face masks and other things for a virus that seems to be airborne.. It is a virus, organisms for which we have no response except what come from our immune systems ... An immune system that we are making sure of weakening with "hand sanitizers" and other antibiotics which kills (for a short time) the microbes we need on our hands to fight the microbes that we come in contact with... Commercial interest are on the lookout and nationalism runs unchecked...
I am not sure most counties know what to do. Poorer countries will of course suffer more but we are not at a stage where we know how to counter this virus. We are hoping most people get well by themselves . just like the common cold but it doesn't seem to me, we know how to stop this corona virus spread ...

Call me very worried ...

Trump tours CDC facilities in Atlanta, 2020-03-06

Reporter: Can we test people in the US, just like they do in South Korea, without getting out of their vehicles?

Trump:
"They're (South Korea) not testing, they're sampling people in other countries. There's a difference. They're sampling people. It's a drive-by. They give samples. Can we do that? Yeah, we can do that. But that's not effective like what we're doing. We're doing the whole thing in one stop. They're doing samples in South Korea. It's a very different thing."

Drive-in ... everything's for sale.

"We're going full-stop here, not like in South Korea".

By the time they do another say 1,500 "full-stop" testing the world as we know it will look like a morgue...well a sanctuary for Chinese bats.

Kha Nada should close its borders and halt air flights until the coronavirus paranoia epidemic burns itself out.
