What speakers have an ultra high frequency tweeter?

I think many Hi-Rez aficionados misunderstands what a higher sampling rate than 44.1 kHz does ? It does not improve the quality of frequencies below <22.05 kHz they are already perfectly captured .

The ribbon tweeters of my Quadral Aurum Montan 9 speakers can reach 65 kHz on paper. My hearing does not come close to this number even on paper but nevertheless it's nice to have a good reserve available in the unlikely event I suddenly develop extraordinary capabilities.

The Tannoy Eyris series had supertweeters extending the FR to 50KHz

These came out around the turn of the century when 'hi resolution' formats began. A chance to sell people who already had perfectly good speakers some new speakers!

They didn't last long. Hi-Rez aficionados didn't understand that the formats just added frequencies they couldn't hear since they were confident they could hear the benefits even without supertweeters, and the subjective reviews were lukewarm.
If they have PCM Hi-Rez files taken from SACD DSD masters where the noise is not filtered, then I suspect their supertweeters are probably no longer working (although they won't be able to tell ;) )

You could get bitten by a radioactive bat pretty much any time.

Yes, in ASR Forum, we have discussed so many times on the huge amount of UHF noises frequently associated with "poorly QC-ed" HiRes tracks of 1 bit DSD/DSF/SACD releases, for example my posts;
- "Near ultrasound - ultrasound" ultra-high frequency (UHF) noises in improperly engineered/processed HiRes music tracks, and EKIO's XO-EQ configuration to cut-off such noises: #362-#386, #518

Our discussion including my rather intensive objective measurements on one typical thread would be of your reference; my posts #42, #56 and #59.

This is one of the reasons/rationales for my setting of -48 dB/Oct sharp low-pass (high-cut) digital filters at 25 kHz in DSP configuration, and default play-back of on-the-fly conversion of all the music tracks into 88.2 kHz (or 96 kHz) PCM, even though I use FOSTEX T925A super-tweeter capable up to ca. 40 kHz. Please refer to my post here #532 for the summary of such "rationales".

Furthermore, I wrote there "such a high amount of UHF noises would be "possibly" harmful (and useless, meaningless) for our tweeters and super tweeters. I also pointed they would be highly possibly harmful for our beloved pets including dogs, cats, birds."

Consequently, at least in my audio setup, the role of my L&R super-tweeter FOSTEX-T925A covering 8.8 kHz to 24 kHz (together with tweeter covering 6 kHz to 14 kHz) is to improve 3D-stereo sound perspectives (sound images) by the unique wide-3D reflective dispersion of super-tweeter sound (summary ref. #929).

Just after almost establishing my setup including all the above, it was very interesting for me finding the similar reflective wide-3D dispersion of tweeter/super-tweeter sound (they use Arya Audio Labs' AirBlade Signature) at a high-end audio shop in Hong Kong; ref. an article here.

Elac offers a super tweeter that goes up to over 50 kHz, radiates 360 degrees and can be used with almost any loudspeaker.
A super-tweeter will definitely impress your dog. You? Not so much.

The 1.1" soft dome tweeters on my Aperion Audio Grandis Gr8s are rated up to 42KHz. That's 24KHz higher than I can perceive...

Thanks for the picture, one may note that it begins it’s range of operation within the audiable band see the 10,12,15 kHz settings .
With its 360 spread it’s some kind of treble ”augmentation” ?

 Is this just another post for the sake of posting? What's the point?

When the question about speakers came up, I simply pointed out that there are also additional super tweeters available, nothing more and nothing less.

Such a waste of time. If you want to obsess over something, obsess over something real or maybe plausible if you have a hard time distinguishing reality from fantasy. Most of you are lucky to hear above 16kHz at your age. Meanwhile, how many of you have subwoofers? If your speakers roll off at 80Hz, that's two octaves of music you are missing, all while worrying about music that isn't even in the recording! In fact you can make more of a case for installing infrasonic generators (0-20Hz). You may not be able to hear it, but there is ample evidence that you can feel it.

Every subjective review I have read about super tweeters over the years claimed that they made the bass sound better. They are curved TVs of the hifi world.

There are conspiracy theories that humans are ruled by archons, bipedal reptilian creatures that use cloaking technology to blend in with us.

I like to think they advertise high frequency speakers for this species because they might have hearing frequencies that far surpass us.
