Previously -
Martin Logan Expression 13A (didn't like my room!),
Quad 2905 / 2912 (remarkably good despite my room but I don't want barn doors blocking my views),
ATC Active 50 (far too "in-yer-face" for comfortable domestic listening),
KEF Reference 107 (lovely 1986 speakers),
Westrex 2326A Studio Monitors (Rare early 60s, bought for £20 the pair but too old),
Wharfedale Airedale (early 60s home built from GA Briggs' drawings, later modified with KEF drivers)

I won't hide from you that I would like a pair of “Piega” Coax… a dealer not too far away has them, I would like to go and listen. But I should sell part of my mini speaker collection. And I'm thinking about it, also because frankly now of all the components I have between speakers and electronics, I use a minimal part... the others furnish the room... but I'm fond of it, so it won't be easy... congratulations on your system and also for the wonderful view of that magnificent room!

Whatever’s happening in these photos is lovely.

Going to refine the question from "own" to "currently use," because the former would take too long to write. :)

Primary: JBL LSR708i LCR, JBL CBT50 side, JBL CBT100 rear, Pioneer/TAD S-ic891a (I think that's it) height, 3 subs (custom closed boxes using BMS and Aurasound drivers).

Secondary: Revel Ultima Gem2, 5 subs (2x Leon A10-UT, DIY Tymphany LAT700, JL Audio E110, B&W PV1D)

Nearfield/Desk
: Neumann KH 120 II, JBL Synthesis S2S-EX (yes, ridiculous stupid overkill) with filler subs from Paradigm and Sonance.

Guest room: NHT C3, 2x Triad Bronze subwoofers

Zone audio: Tannoy CMS403DC

Outdoor: Revel M55XC + 2 Polk outdoor subs

Other:
  • Stereo OG HomePods
  • Technics C700 + 2 custom closed box subs with Aurasound 10" drivers
  • Sonos Move

Guru Audio Q10, Guru Audio Junior+, Ino Audio piMx, Canton GLE90, Emotiva Airmotiv T-Zero+, Audioengine 5, Audioengine 5+, Mirage Omnisat (pair), Mirage omnisat (solo)

Modified and multiamped NHT 3.3.
Homemade subs, sealed boxes and EQ, JBL 2245H.
Quad 988 with homemade dipole subs.
Kali LP-6.
Vanatoo Transparent Zero.
Vanatoo T1E.

And another set arriving next week...
Speaking of NHT. I bought a pair of used NHT Super One mostly because I was curious about how they sounded. I don't know if you can say they had a BBC dip, or maybe you can? In any case, it wasn't something I, in my listening room, liked so I sold them. I absolutely do not regret trying them, on the contrary. It's fun to test. :)

Sealed boxes, with 6 inch bass driver. They really demanded to be used with a sub.

Having said that. The NHT 3.3 is a completely different model. I came close to buying a pair a number of years ago. I hesitated because of their size. I regret it a bit.

Main system is JBL 708Px3 (across front) and JBL 705Px6, with 2x10" HSU subwoofers (the old round ones) that do double duty as the L&R stands.

I have some of those bass drivers. The results they got weren't surprising- I think this is one of the designs released post-Kantor and Hidley.

The 3.3s are big, but they're also pretty picky on how and where to set them up. It really does take a dedicated room to get their strengths.

Interesting. This is the first time I see Zaph speakers outside Zaph's own web.

/Martin

Actually member @Engelhorn discusses his excellent Zaph ZRT build HERE.

Also pretty popular is the Zaph ZD5 and I believe that have been a few references to that model here at ASR. Speaker drivers and constructed crossovers are available at Madisound. Unfortunately the constructed cabinet mentioned with respect to the ZRT is no longer available.
