What speakers do you currently own?

Haha he did a few minutes after you. I just got the ferrofluid replaced by Coherent Sound in the original aluminum dome tweeters!

Thank goodness for coherent sound!

I bought my Thiel 2.7 not too long after Thiel folded. When coherent sound first opened, I bought a spare set of 2.7 drivers just in case… coax tweeter/mid, bass driver and passive radiator.

Here are the big ol’ Thiel 3.7 that I owned for a while. As you can see they posed a bit of an aesthetic and ergonomic issue getting in and out of the room:

They sounded freaking spectacular though.
I downsized slightly to the 2.7 model.
They’re only a bit smaller and less deep, but it’s enough to make all the difference in terms of making traffic easier at the doorway:

I absolutely love the finish:

The curves and striped ebony finish is gorgeous.

I take it the fireplace is purely decorative.

Currently means for the last 20 years, at least - I love these old and small, but so wonderful, B&W 805 Matrix, they sound just great. They were my favorite mixing speakers for many years until we - my workplace, Danish Broadcasting Corp. - moved the our new broadcasting house were DYNAUDIO became the rule in every studio.
But luckily I had a pair of 805s at home so I did not have to miss the sound :-)
During some years in between when I lived in a bigger place I had a pair of B&W dm603 s2 sa main speakers, but they never sounded near as good as the 805s, så the small speakers came back to reign.

If you don't know it already you will enjoy this review of them:

I hope so too.

Thiel toast doesn’t sound good.

Ah…yes the fireplace is purely decorative.
Well…it works…but we don’t use it.

Also, the vertical wall tiles of the fireplace beside the speaker cause a bit of hardness in the upper frequencies, so I had a fitted cover made to cover the fireplace for listening to music. It’s made of the same thick brown velvet as the curtains cutting sidewall reflections on the other side of the room, so it balances out the sound perfectly (to my ears). Here it is on the fireplace with the Joseph speaker:

I currently own a Sony SRS-XB10, which I bought second-hand years ago for £25. Here it is, pictured next to a roll of toilet paper, which I am about to put to use once I finish typing this.
I don't own any other speakers. I sold them all because I realised I could spend hours sitting around listening to music instead of working on my business; endless entertainment was getting in the way of building something of my own.
Selling my audio removed that temptation, and now I can focus on growing my business rather than disappearing into listening sessions (or reading and participating in audio forums) for half the day.
Entertainment was my biggest enemy when it came to actually getting work done.

Don't accidentally wipe with the wrong one.
:)

Currently 6 sets of speakers in 2ch systems,

Media Room - PSB Synchrony 2
Library system 1 - Monitor Audio GS20
Library system 2 - Paradigm Export Monitor bookshelfs
Art Studio - Vienna Acoustics Mozart Grand
Bedroom - Old black vinyl KEF bookshelfs
Remote Office - Spendor SP1

All but PSBs bought used (FB Marketplace and Craigslist)

The 2 home theater system's speakers are all different shades of Def Tech Mythos, the biggest are STS Supertowers, and of course, the sub amps are shot. Rest are wall hangers, in ceiling, and centers.

Subs hooked into Media room HT stystem - Velodyne Optimum 10 and SPL Series ii (12")
Subs supplementing PSBs bass - 2 Sunfire True Subwoofer Junior
Sub for the broke STS subs - Energy 8". We don't do serious movie/tv listening in that room. It brings 40-80hz punch missing from the STS supertowers.

Everybody has their own interest and bliss, but I admit I find a post like this pretty curious in an audiophile forum.

Do you mind my asking why you visit or post here if you’re not really doing the audiophile thing?

You just read my mind ?

so I had a fitted cover made to cover the fireplace for listening to music.
My next-cubicle engineer cohort had prided herself in wearing very expensive, beautiful and fashionable work-clothing.
Weary of an unprovoked/unplanned visit to HR, I always resisted the temptation to compliment her for her garb.
But I also declined to let her know that I could smell mothballs, when she arrived at her cubicle, in the mornings.
