What speakers do you currently own?

Missed this thread until now.
  • Main music system: Revel Concerta F12 (pair in stereo)
  • Man-cave YouTube Watching System: Advent NLA (pair in stereo)
  • Home office: Pioneer BS22LR stereo pair in near field
  • TV Watching: Fronts: Linn Index Plus from the deeps of time (but not as deep as the Advents), Pioneer something-or-other center, Boston Acoustics sub, and Polk RT15 surrounds. Sounds better than it should.
  • Electronics bench system: Canton GL260 plus Dayton Audio sub
  • Road PA system: Crate something-or-other--proving that reasonably effective PA speakers are a lot easier than good residential playback speakers

Je possède déjà des sampan 311 et des doris m2.
Les colonne 100 nécessitent un peu de restauration.
Je les écoute en ce moment ce qui me fait dire que l'ampli doit etre puissant, plus que pour les 2 autres paires.
The efficiency of C-100 is 3 dB lower than that of Sampan 311, but is equivalent to those of the Doris M2.
Note that the C-100s have a descending bass curve set to be compensated by the room gain, specifically when they are positioned against a wall. Otherwise, you may feel a lack of bass, but it can be easily adapted to the room using the bass tone control of the preamplifier (ideally with a hinge frequency between 300 and 500 Hz).

With the right settings, the Colonne 100s provide deep, pure bass and are extremly transparent, especially with classical music and natural instruments.

Guru Audio 28 floorstanders (main), Dynaudio Audience 20 floorstanders (just for fun, was cheap), Audioengine 5+ (a few of them), Mirage Omnisat v3, Alr Jordan Entry 2M
Energy RVSS surround speakers (not in use), no name on the speakers (dipole or bipole), not used

Ok, I've been here a few years and I've always wondered (with the exception of Amir), what speakers do you own (mains)? I've seen some of them in your signatures, but I'm just curious as to what everyone listens to at home. I'll start even though they're in my signature.

Legacy Audio Whispers, I also own Infinity Preludes as well.
Current mains in my listening room are Revel Performa M22's (bookshelf).

Driving them with a Monoprice Monolith 2x amp and a powered Eris sub. Or now and then running the Hypex UcD 400 Amp.

And in my Gaming, Internet, Home Theater room my mains are Genelec 8010's on the Genelec stands run balanced through a Rotel pre amp and the Sabaj A10d DAC.

Though in a few days I should have a pair of Revel Concerta2 F35's and the M22's will get bumped for a wee bit.

So I've hit "end game" a couple of times already. Now I'm just having fun. And looking forward to the shipment of Asci's when they come in! Woo hoo!

Guru Audio Q10, Guru Audio Junior+, Ino Audio piMx, Canton GLE90, Emotiva Airmotiv T-Zero+, Audioengine 5, Audioengine 5+, Mirage Omnisat (pair), Mirage omnisat (solo)
I got to demo the Guru's in Seattle back in 2010. Impressive.

I have one listening room and I rotate between 4 pairs of speakers (will eventually sell 2 and keep only 2). A mix of some that measure well and some that measure not so well:

MoFi Sourcepoint 8
KLH Model 5
Triangle Genese Trio
Magnepan LRS

Amps I have (one that measures well and others probably not so well):

Hypex NCore NC252MP by Audiophonics
Denon PMA-2000IVR
Musical Fidelity A1 (2023)
*chef's kiss*

So you have three separate systems would that be right? Different rooms? What do you like about each speaker?

(Whoops: just remembered ahofer has me on block. Never mind….)
I know the feeling. Me and my big mouth. Though not on this platform. Thankfully.

I have now (well, earlier this year) replaced them with Guru Audio 28

Would be hard to go back to bookshelf speakers

Interesting. I didn't know they made a floorstanding speaker.

QM60 used to exist as well. I'm still curious about it but it's seldom sold used.

Ideally I'd want Ino Audio pi120s. It's from the same designer Ingvar Öhman.

Yes, white oak, and I indeed designed and built them myself. I outsourced the filterdesign, I have a friend that can build the perfect filter with his eyes closed, while I will need 3 years to separate the highs from the rest...

Ah… a member of the “ you can never own enough loudspeakers” club.

Welcome, gentlemen, here’s your smoking jacket…:-)

I tried to sell my Aerial Acoustics 8 but couldn't get a decent price and shipping is prohibitive for 125lb speakers. The M&K S1-C and S100 just work so well in HT that it's hard to get rid of those. Selling the DefTech or the M&K 70s nets me $100/pair so keeping them until I donate them to a friend(s) with my 3 receivers in the garage.
But yes, I am guilty although upgrading the Salon2 would be a giant task.

Believe me, I get it!

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, it wasn’t long ago that I had seven different pairs of loudspeakers for two channel listening.

Selling off a bunch of them allowed me to afford my current dream speakers, and I still have a few speakers left to keep things interesting.

Sounds like you already own a pair of dreams speakers.

Main system is a 5.2.4. Polk R700s for L&R, Polk L400 for C, Polk R200s for rear L&R, Polk R900s for DA upfiring, and dual SVS PB3000s. Secondary system is a 5.1 with Polk R100s for LCR, Polk TLIs for surround, and SVS SB3000. Buckeye amplification connected to Denon x4700 for the 5.2.4. Denon x1800 for the 5.1.

I guess I’m partial to Polks ‍
