I'm sorry, but that is not the Esotar tweeter. There would be 9 screw heads, and the faceplate is larger.
hi, below is the photo from the Dynaudio website, Special One page

That may be the Special One, and I have no problem with that being the model. I am saying the Esotar has always been a very large faceplate, with 6 screws mounting the magnet, and 3 holding it to the cabinet.

EDIT: okay, I see it is a new model called the Esotar 330 D, not the age old coveted classic Esotar T330. I looked up the Dynaudio Special One page and found this out. My apologies, as I was saying it is NOT a T330, and a T330 it is not.

Focal Aria 936 piano black
Enjoy....
I saw a pic of some of your past speakers (OB) and noticed an Optima battery as part of your system and wondered what you were operating from DC? I've thought of taking a/c out of my more sensitive components, so am always intrigued when I see batteries....

Went from ATC SCM 19 v2 for the last few years, sold those. Tried some new Quad Revela 1, which I liked but I don't see them as long term for me. Finally, just got these Ryan speakers and they're keepers. That's a brand more people need to consider. I like them far more than the ATC or the Quads:

Vandersteen 5A - I bought them used as a 40th birthday present to myself. That was quite a long time ago now. :-O

I recently sent the built-in amps back to Vandersteen for repair. I was pleased that they serviced a long discontinued model at a reasonable price.

How about your 8010 + 7040 combo?

Thinking about one of those to my work room, I have a pair of 8030 cpm as main speakers. Probably can switch the 7040 from one to another room depending of needs.

Great combo but only *very* nearfield-ie desktop.

Paradigm Persona 3f - for sale btw
Tekton Design - Encore monitor, Dynamite, Electron Be

Quick sent from Thomann, they are at home since a couple of hours.

They sound really nice, is incredible how such a small thing can sound so well. It worth to put them on floor stands behind the table, low frequencies reflect a lot from the desk, more than my 8030s.

I currently don't have any speakers. I recently sold my Neumann KH150s, which were the best speakers I've ever owned and truly loved. Unfortunately, no one else in my household shared my passion for music, so I rarely got the chance to use them. With the speakers set up in the living room, it was hard to find time when the house was quiet, and my taste in music didn’t always sit well with others.

I've had speakers my entire life, and now, for the first time, I'm without them. I've switched to headphones, which at least give me the freedom to listen to whatever I want, whenever I want. Still, I miss those speakers.

I bought a pair yesterday. Same wood Arriving in 5 days from next Monday. France delivery…
I bought them without hearing them in front. I saw YouTube from March audio. I found the Stand amounts sounding so amazing also the ukkonen with the tremendous bass.
I see on your photo that they are great looking to.
They are perfect for me in stereo XLR connection and home cinema with great balance and subwoofer. I like the simple two way speakers and their focus ability.
I suppose you’re very happy with them?

Music & HT system combined...

Front L/R - custom-build 2.5-way with 2x Seas H1252-08 (8" midbass with hard aluminium cone) and 1x 18Sound NSD1095N (titanium nitride diaphragm) per side. I wanted to find out what it sounded like to have all diaphragms acting as pure pistons in their operating ranges. For domestic purposes, the compression driver has infinite headroom, so mid-high distortion is always low. The woofers give up first, but a total of 4x 8" drivers can still move a useful amount of air in a UK living room.

Rear surrounds are each 1x SB65WBAC. 2.5" full-range driver, slapped into an aluminium project box. Probably the easiest speakers I've ever built. They cover 120Hz-20kHz just fine. I tend to run my surrounds at a low level, so they're adequate for the "touch of atmosphere" effect that I like them to perform. The front speakers do the heavy lifting.

Amp is a Denon AVR-X4100W, which I find to be adequate. It also makes the whole system (inc various analogue and digital sources, TV, and projector) very easy to use.

My PA systems are also custom-built. I can do another post on those if anyone is interested.

Chris
