In December 2016 we were rescued by 3 Standard Poodles. A mom and her two kids. They lost their humans six months apart, one by a heart attack and their mom six months later by a stroke. Poodle Rescue had them for 5 months as they wanted to keep them together. Mom was about 9 and the kids about 6. We lost the little girl this time last year. We unexpectedly lost the mom, Angel, here in the purple sweater and pink tail on Sunday morning. Totally out of the blue. Perky Friday night, started a sort of cough during the night, was shivering Saturday morning even under a blanket. Took her to the Vet School here and they admitted her, diagnosed her with Pneumonia. Started treatment and her temp went down with antibiotics, but when they looked at her blood tests her white blood cell count stayed very low and her lungs kept getting worse. We went in to see her Sunday morning and she was just so, so sick. She recognized us and we hugged her and stayed with her, but we had to let her go. Fortunately we still have our boy, but the house just seems empty.

Sorry for your loss every time we lose a dog our resolve not to get another doesn’t last very long. Before we had Boris our dog was a West Highland White terrier called Max stared losing weight and became incontinent finally lost a kilo over a seven day period, held him while he went, still not got over it.

Just seeing this. I'm so sorry.

I had to say goodbye to one of my furry babies unexpectedly about a month ago, and it's definitely tough stuff. Time goes by very slowly for a while.

Sorry about that its a breed I’ve never heard of!
It's a fake beasty from a movie. Notice the claws on the one in the pic.
