Have you tried slathering your speaker cables with bacon grease? I hear it really gives a very warm sound and also imparts a wonderful smell to the house.

I have avoided going down the expensive cable rabbit hole. I use Belden 12 gauge speaker cable, Mogami interconnect cables from World’s Best Cables (available on Amazon) and cheap Monoprice optical cables. Nothing worth upgrading or replacing here, either.
