im never use zoom lens from 2008. only had short time nikon 24-70 2.8 afs and 70-200 2.8 afs. those was great at its time. nowadays i know only 3 zoom are superior to any its gf32-64,gf20-35 and gf45-100.

I've decide to replace my damaged XC15-45. The redeeming feature of this lens is its small size and light weight. However other than these important factors there isn't much else to admire IMHO.

I got mine on ebay.ca for a good price from a small-volume seller. He says the lens is new, unused so we'll see how it works out.

Started out in the 80s as a Minolta guy (Minolta X-700). Landed in digiland as as FUJI DSLR man. First camera was Fujifilm FinePix S2 Pro and later I got the Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro.
Great camera build over NIKON houses so I bought a whole range of Optics suitable for Nikon (both original NIKON and third party). And when Fuji stopped this route down Nikon way I swapped to Nikon APS-C houses. D7000, D7200 ending up on D7500. Now I am using both the d7500 and Nikon Z50. Using the same range of optics thanks to a FTZ adaptor.
Using mostly zoom I have a range from 8mm fiskeye to 600mm. That covers most picture motifs

fujifilm GF45,50,55,63 and 120. i like most GF55 ,its latest my present from me to mehere is some jpeg from camera gfx100s.

Fujifilm's 'medium format' line of cameras and lens is almost unique, although Hasselblad has cameras that use the same sensor. No doubt they are capable of spectacular results. Perhaps sadly tor my age, photography, style, and pocket book, I make do with Fuji's APS-C line up. I have 9 X-mount lens by last count -- frankly more that I need.

To veer off on a slight tangent, I'm going to comment on my new, Fujifilm X-T50 in combo with the Viltrox 25mm f/1.7 lens, that I recently acquired see above, versus the extremely well-reviewed and popular Fujifilm X100vi.

Both cameras are APS-C with the same, 40 megapixels sensor; both have in-body image stabilization. The X100vi has its unique visual/digital combo viewfinder. The former has a fixed, 23mm f/2 while the Viltrox is a 25mm f/1.7 -- close enough.

The X-T50 + Viltrox 25mm combo is obviously bulkier but it weighs only about 90 grams more than the X100vi ... 610 grams vs. about 521 grams.

The huge advantage of the X-T50 over the X100vi is that the former permits any X mount lens. The difference in price is <200 USD. I'd love to have an X100vi but I can't justify the cost of an additional camera.

I recently picked up a used Nikon 300mm f/4 PF lens, as prices have fallen for F mounts ever since Z came along. I already owned the old Nikon 300/4 AF lens as well as a 300/2.8 AF (screw AF), which is hy. In any case, I have really enjoyed having the PF...compact and lightweight, the optics are great, VR works very well, I'm shooting this way more than I ever used the larger/heavier older 300mm lenses. The bokeh isn't quite as smooth as the older lenses, but I guess that's the trade-off of using a fresnel element. I haven't really noticed any major issues shooting into the light (such as night photography). I'm mostly using this for landscapes/cityscapes...this was taken one evening in Matsuyama, Japan:

As an occasional, amateur photograph and, now, as an octogenarian, I appreciate lenses that are light and cheap.

Recently I've mentioned my Viltrox 25mm f/1.7 and my Fujinon XC 15-45mm, both light and cheap. The latter cheap because bought used. Also bought used is my Fujinon XF 16-80mm -- this one cost relatively little but it's definitely NOT light.

The camera and lens combination work well for me: mostly because of the form factor and rangefinder style of shooting.

Best lens I ever owned was a 2nd hand, somewhat beaten up, Canon EOS Tilt-shift 45mm f/2.8 L. Tack sharp and very versatile.

Most used lens was a Canon RF 24-105 MM f/4 L lens. Very sharp for a zoom, weather resistant and a very versatile range. Got my favourite landscape images with it.

I’m speaking in the past tense because I retired from being a semi-pro landscape photographer a few years ago and sold my pro gear…
