Update:

Topping E30, L30, DX3 Pro+ (twice), SMSL RAW-MDA1 (had to return due to defect).

And the two most recent and favorite by far, a Topping D70 Pro Sabre & SMSL PL200T. These two pieces have greatly added to my enjoyment of music.

Another update:

Just added 2 more items to my list, a pair of Fosi V3 mono amps and Monitor Audio Silver 50 7Gs. Thanks ASR!

Hmm. I found ASR when looking for headphone amp reviews a few years ago, and bought the SMSL C200 as a result. Since then, I’ve added:

- Fosi ZA3
- Fosi V3 Stereo
- WiiM Pro Plus and WiiM Mini (and two Pros, which hadn’t been reviewed at the time)
- KEF LS50 Meta (more Erin, but ASR discussions helped)
- Truthear GATEs (2 pair so far)
- 7Hz Zero
- Senn HD560S
- SVS SB-1000 (more because of the forums than a review)

It has been a ride but I can’t believe how good everything sounds for such a relatively small budget.

I can relate.

I decided to get a new DAC a couple of months ago to replace my Topping DX3 Pro+, mainly to have both XLR and RCA outputs (XLR to my powered monitors and RCA to my sub). I ended up with the D70 Pro Sabre based largely on the review here. And I can't lie, I love the VU meter/spectrum analyzer display, so I spent more than I needed to.

That is all I had planned on doing for awhile...


...next thing you know the upgrade bug bit me hard and I got the SMSL PL200T, Silver 50s, and V3 Mono amps. Basically my entire system has been replaced save for my RSL Speedwoofer 10s MKII sub and Sony UBP-X800M2.

I picked up a used Motu M2 to replace my aging gen1 Focusrite 2i2 based on the noted improvements as Amir reviewed both. I'll mainly use it as an interface for speaker measurements but occasional voice and instrument work. It's so cute I decided to add it to my Mac mini stack. The display above it is a second monitor dedicated to the plugins I use in Hang Loose Convolver, mostly for eye candy at the moment.
