What items have you purchased as a result of ASR?

I purchased SoundSource so I could EQ my HD650's with oratory1990's HD650 preset. I love it!

Well not really anything in particular if it goes to full reviews. But have learned much I thought I knew in my ASR days. So very grateful.

Still don't understand many things so will need much help from the community.

When you look at it is is really still a bit confusing. REW frequency response and decay time, OK, but then what about the phase response and group delay? Figuring out what is the room impact on your speakers in higher frequencies vs the room? And what you should correct for, and how, if any?

Have to say this sight gets a lot of chatter. To me its about the science and pretty objective. On that note I got a topping D90SE. I have had it awhile and I dont think the previous owner used it much. I stuck with optical and coaxial inputs but today I tried the USB input and OMG could not believe the difference. That little box ....

Of course there really should not be any audible difference at all, unless somehow the overall output level depends on the input choice. I see from @amirm's review that there is both a 4V output setting and a 5V output setting ...

Funfi cheap 6J1 tube preamp. Then replaced it with Wiim ultra streamer, was wanting to find new music cheaply, needed EQ to boot.

Even bigger plus now can use my old svs sub again. What a big difference for the better.

Then upgraded from elac unifi 2.0 ub52 to the DBR 62.

Sam Fox ( topless model).

First was a SMSL Sanskrit 10th. Then a NUC. Neither replaced anything in the system.
Took about a five year break and a SMSL RAW-MDA1. How can you not like a multi input dac for 250 that equal a dCS stack in performance.
Then a WiiM Mini. Loved it. But like the NUC sits unused now.

Not ready to comment on PA5II, B100’s, or E70 Velvet. Bought B100’s after listening to PA5II for just a couple days.
The Velvet and B100 pairing will be hard to unseat. The auto on-off and triggers bring back the functionality lost when moving on from a Micromega integrated with remote.

Toppings: D10s,E50,L50,E70,L70
SMSLs: SU1,D6s
On the contrary, ASR helped me a lot with what not to do and what to strictly avoid. I see ASR is very positively in detecting audio-fraud and non-compliance devices with specifications.

Nearly everything, Sigberg Audio, Eversolo, AsciLAB. Amir’s reviews/measurements are invaluable.
Perhaps more pertinent is the stuff I haven’t bought because of ASR!

That's actually an excellent idea for a related thread: what have you been saved from purchasing thanks to ASR.

Nearly Everything in my signature.

Topping DX5 II ➡️ Topping PA7 ➡️ Elac DBR62

I get my new system in a month, before this I was only have music.

A set of streamers, a power amp, a preamp and an integrated amp, a set of speakers, a smart radio, an ADC, two desktop DACs, some portable DACs, a microphone and headphones. This is my go-to-site for new gear, nowadays...
