What items have you purchased as a result of ASR?

Matrix X-Sabre Pro MQA v1. I love the aesthetics, build quality, and sound (transparency), plus it has a volume control. One for the office, one for the bedroom. Probably my endgame DAC.

I picked up a WiiM Pro for some friends based on what I read here. When I set it up for them at their home with a laptop, REW and a mic then used the GUI and PEQ I was really impressed with how simple and well integrated into multiple operating systems. So I bought one for myself too to use as another Roon endpoint here at home and for people with non-Apple devices to cast to.

I now have 3 Revel W553Ls sitting in my garage awaiting install due to discovering AudioScienceReview and Amir's review of them. I honestly think they're quite underrated, at least going by how well they measured and their low price. I'm fully expecting great things, once I can actually get them into a wall.

Audio interface for my PC. :)

I bought a Rotel RC 850.... :

This aesthetic is so much cooler than what they're doing for the consumer stuff, a Dieter Rams vibe. It's a bummer they don't explore this elsewhere.

Soncoz LA-XQD1, but it was glitching regularly, so I returned it and bought a Topping DX7 Pro. Won't buy another DAC/headphone amp until it dies.
Hmmm, so much for that.....

Sold the DX7 Pro, bought a Benchmark DAC3 HGC, 2 x Benchmark AHB2s, a Benchmark HPA4 (recently sold again due to migration to fully active setup), a Motu Ultralite Mk5, 2 x Hypex Nilai DIY 500 monos, a Topping E50, L50, E30II, D10s, PA5 (died and now replaced by a PA5II), a Fosi ZA3, a Lundahl VC2361and a Dayton DATS V3.

This forum is chronically injurious to my bank balance

Buckeye Audio NC252MP. I was looking for an amp anyway and had read Archimago's articles on his Hypex home build. Later I followed the thread on Dylan's progress in putting his builds together, and his attitude and attention to detail won me over. The ASR review backed it up. Over the last year or so the amp is performing really well in my system and I must say, it's a fine looking piece of equipment as well.

Also, after reading the ASR review of the Wiim Pro Plus it seemed to be the obvious replacement for a deteriorating Airport Express. I was discussing the subject with a younger family member who surprised me by gifting one to me a few weeks ago.

Thanks to everything I've read and the advice of many enthusiasts, in addition to three Smsl Dacs and Topping preamps,
a tube power amplifier with 5881, the reuse of the turntable and a vintage preamp!!;)
I'm missing worthy speakers, since I only have hard or large speakers! but I'll get there sooner or later to find the right bookshelf to finish the system of the small room!!!

Ever more powerful Topping and smsl headphone amps chasing the he6v2 white whale.

A lot of Wiim, all but the mini.

A variety of class D speaker amps, monoblocks etc until I ended debate by purchasing nc502mp 2ch amps from buckeye. But it for life.

A lot of philharmonic audio speakers. They are local here in the DMV and are a great team in addition to producing gorgeous, flat speakers for a reasonable price.

Just recently and thankfully just scored the 7hz Crinacle Zero 2. Cheapest piece of hi-fi I've bought at just $23, and the sound quality is outstanding! Some kind of record for value has been achieved here, and though it feels pretty cheap, all the money has been put into fidelity. Running without EQ even, but blasting it outta my THX 789 on medium gain. Thoroughly impressed with the single dynamic driver, clarity and detail alongside tremendous bass quality and quantity. Dead heat with my Zero Reds, at half the price. Outstanding purchase!

Neumann KH80. Before ASR I would have thought this was a cheesy looking plastic speaker that couldn’t possibly sound good.

Now I know that the form is strictly driven by function, and they function spectacularly as speakers for a desk system.

After some consideration I'd have to put the Zero Red ahead of the Zero 2. I use the Bass+ adapter and that just does it for me. Also better build quality and cable and tip assortment. The Red seems more refined in the midrange, and better quality bass.

I did get memory foam tips for the Zero 2 and like 'em large. The silicone ones would slip out from time to time. But the foam fit nice and comfy and seal well, they were 7 bucks on Amazon. I'm getting awesome performance for less than $30 total, outstanding value! The Zero 2s will be my go-to on the go, without amp straight from my DAP, the Surfans F20.
