JBL Studio 530s (gifted to a friend)

I've been reading this site for a few years after googling DACs and finding the reviews here. And I joined recently to answer this question. Everything I have purchased in the last couple years have been a result of being on this forum.
My desk setup is a Topping DX3 Pro+, that is connected to iLoud Micro monitors, and Hifiman HE4XX headphones. I bought the Topping because of the great review here, and the iLoud Micros because they were recommended by a few members. As were the headphones. In fact I couldn't find a bad review about any of these things, and it seemed even the subjectivists on YouTube were in agreement with the reviews and members here. Everyone was right, all of this sounds great to me.

My main system is, for now, Genelec 8030C connected to a Topping DX5, purchased because of the reviews here and I found both of them used on another site. The Genelecs were 900 for the pair, the DX5 was 300. Both were in excellent condition, and I'm convinced the DAC was never used, the packaging hadn't been touched. I had not heard the 8030s but from the review on this site and the endless praise that they got from every member who had heard them, I knew they would sound great and they have exceeded my high expectations. This setup is in my living room and I play music through an Intel NUC connected to the DX5 that I control with a wireless keyboard and the monitor is my TV. An LG OLED that I checked out in stores because of Amir's glowing review of OLED tv's. When I saw them in the stores I realized his words didn't do them justice. The picture is almost too good, things are clearer and brighter than real life most of the time. I have also tried some EQ on the Genelecs because I have an equalizer on the PC that I use as a source. I tried Amir's recommendation in the 8030 review, as well as some settings provided by a member here. Although I don't notice much of a difference.

I'm almost 50 and know that because of ASR I am hearing and seeing things better than I have in my entire life.

I hear ya. This site has made me buy some stuff

Oops... sorry. It's also made me repurpose stuff I have. The Bt20Apro is a great example! Welcome.

Edit: Yeah, I wasn't quite "in my right mind" when I posted this last night... lol. What I should have said is that, for example, the BT20A allowed me to start using my 30 year old PSB bookshelf speakers again. They've been gathering dust for ages, but they are now back in action. Now I just need to do some measurements and tame down the nasty reflections in this room.

A JDS Atom DAC+ because of Amir's review.

A pair of AC Infinity AIRCOM S7 cooling fans because of a comment made by another member. They sit on top of a Harmon Kardon HK670 Twin receiver and lower the temperature of the air coming out of it by 10 degrees.

A soon-to-be received UMIK-1 because of various comments made by members.

E1DA PowerDac V2.1
Sennheiser HD600
Some KZ
Truthear x crinacle zero

Thank You ASR !!!

Truthear Zero Red I was definitely considering, but Amir's review was what made me order.

Some very recent additions based on Amir's reviews:

Eversolo DMP A6 - still waiting for it to arrive.
Hypex Nilai 500 stereo amp - very happy with this; I'll refrain from superlatives about veils lifted, tight dynamic bass, etc.
Schiit Freya S - I decided I needed a pre-amp to deal with my analogue sources. Attractive, does what it is supposed to; pairs well with the Nilai.

A Leaf Audio cmd 23 dac, bought on the recommendation of a member. $200 cdn from Aliexpress. Used for a few days, nothing wrong with it, but, I don't like the size or the wall wart power supply. Now sitting on the shelf.

Revel M16, S16, F206, F208, M106... and waiting for delivery of my end game Salon2. Revel would not be on my radar without Amir and ASR, can't thank him and the members enough. At the same time, I sold all my fancy cords and cables... and used the proceeds to buy the above slew of speakers... lol.

Hypex DIY amp and a Nord assembled Hypex amp.

My wish is that there is a much more affordable and just as high performing audio analyzer like the Audio Precision Analyzer for under $2k, but atlas, no such thing exist. And yes, I know about the QuantAsylum.

I'm not sure a calibration test @ a NIST certified metrology lab would be less than $2K never mind the actual analyzer expense. We can dream...LoL. :D
