What is the practical significance of point source?

Might the use of separate subwoofers in conjunction with KEF Blade and KEF LS60 speakers alter the significance of Single Apparent Source?
Sub bass has very long wavelength coaxial concept is useful at smaller wavelength or higher frequencies

The coax’s we have/had here KEF, Genelec, Sigberg have had very well defined imaging .

I own Genelec 8351B´s and since recently also a pair of Neumann KH150’s. And I must say that (much to my surprise) I find the imaging of the KH150 to be superior. Phantom image of the KH 150’s is razorrr-sharp, placement of instruments equally impressive. The difference isn’t subtle, the Genelec being no slouch. So no, 2-way versus 3-way, coaxial versus non-coaxial, I’ve quit making these differences pivotal, in the end it comes down to listening.

The Danley HRE’s had pinpoint imaging as well, but you had to sit banging the middle of the two horns.

I don't think that you had to be banging, but it may have added to the experience.
