What is Dirac/DLBC doing to my sound ?

I tried this track with and without Dirac and I noticed just now that the bass note appears in between speakers and far deep into the stage WITHOUT Dirac and WITH Dirac, it is skewed to the side where my subwoofer is located. I have never noticed such blatant error before.. I'm wondering if this is related to sampling rate or just Dirac doing a bad job.

Keep in mind that you most likely didn’t localise the bass note, but the harmonics and other artifacts that go with it. The true bass part will likely not be localisable. You can check by playing the song with your L+R speakers disconnected. When I do that, I only hear deep bass coming from everywhere and nowhere.

Can you post your channel delays so we can get a sense of the time alignment?

My speakers are 8.5ft from MLP and the sub is 11ft away.

I just tested the track with my NuraTrue Pro earbuds and it seemed like the bass note is coming slightly to the left from center.. at this point, I'm not sure what's correct!!
