Rode NTH-100 .. the only headphones i have found where using them to mix music translates well to a speaker.. interesting to see the response and why that works (for me).

Grado HP100 se…just to see if the reports of ‘increased bass and subbass’ are real, which I highly doubt with that design. I’ll wager my elbows that it’ll sounds almost exactly like every other Grado.

Fiio FT1 Pro. Looks like a smoother Hifiman Arya.

Focal Hadenys. Looks like an HD600 with a bass boost.

ZMF Bokeh Open. I really dig the looks of this can…and well the Bokeh Closed is still the best measuring ZMF we’ve seen…so banking on the Open to better that.

DCA Ether 2. Looks similar to my HE500 but vastly more comfortable. If it could nail the tuning of the Hifiman and bring me that oh so sweet lightweight experience? Score!

The quietcomforts look like best ANC headphones but looking at RTINTS distortion graphs they seem to have high distortion at 100db. I want their distortion behaviour closely examined becose I have theory that their distortion is much lower at normal quieter listening levels. The Ultras have bizzare broadband midrange distortion at 100db, but low bass thd, very strange.

Yeah, this please. More consumer Bluetooth headphones in general; despite selling by the bucketload, compared to most of the wired headphones tested here, comparatively little is known about them. Lots to test:

- Wired digital lossless vs wired analogue vs different bluetooth codecs
- Effects of ANC vs passthrough vs 'off'
- Effect of in-app EQ. Can you deal with any frequency response issues purely through in-app EQ?
