Hd 650, audioquest nightowl, beoplay h6(WITH EQ). hd 650 for home. Nightowl while working at my office and then while travelling in a train. H6 when casually walking around and listening. Nightowl for listening to electronic music which needs some tight low end; hd 650 for voice focused music. Also first gen Samsung galaxy buds when I don't care about wires. But honestly the tonality on the galaxy buds gen 1 is superb though it lacks some tightness in sound. Things somehow sound right on it.

So, I just bought a second Nighthawk  Because, you can never have enough Nighthawks :p Right @frogmeat69 ?

I needed something for my home office (including gaming), and I found a nice deal on eBay : 191 € for an original Nighthawk wood, complete, brand new since it that was only used for 6-8 hours by its owner ! :D The Nighthawks are not only a great Hi-Fi headphone, they're also a fantastic gaming headphone:cool: To those who don't like the Nighthawk, I suggest that you try it with EQ. The headphones themselves are amazing (build, comfort, driver quality, bass capabilities, lack of distortion even @ 20 Hz). Just EQ them to your liking, because at that price they're a real steal. ;)

Update to our collection :

Mid-Fi :
- Audioquest Nighthawk Carbon (249 €)
- Audioquest Nighthawk (191 €)
- Hifiman Sundara (299 €)
- Sennheiser HD600 (278 €)
- Sony MDR-CD1000 (old, with brand new pads - I wish I could find a decent PEQ preset for it)

Noise Cancelling :
- Bose QC15
- These SOTA noise-cancelling cans

Lo-Fi :
- OneOdio Studio Pro
- Marshall *don't know the model*

Wireless :
- Novero Rockdale (broken, I sat on them, but they still work  )
- Some sh*tty chinese Bluetooth cans that never really worked

Misc :
- A bunch of crappy in-ear, down to the walkman era

Next Buy :
- Meze 99 Classics (Walnut/Gold) : they will be for travelling, planes and such.
Any ideas on pad replacements for the Nighthawks? I've had Nightowls for about 2 years and my preferred suede pads are starting to get worn.

Dunu 17th Anniversary. Not sure if they're the most accurate, but definitely the perfect balance for me. Treble and upper mids are tamed and bass is nice.

New update to our collection, probably the last for a long time : a pair of Meze 99 Classics Walnut/Gold. Bought them used in excellent condition. At only 140 € directly from Romania, the deal was just too good to pass by ! Sadly the 25 y.o. Sony MDR-CD1000 has been trashed : it was too old and had sound glitches. Here's the current collection (for some nice pictures just click here) :

Mid-Fi :
- Audioquest Nighthawk Carbon (249 €)
- Audioquest Nighthawk Wood (191 €)
- Hifiman Sundara (299 €)
- Meze 99 Classics Walnut/Gold (140 €)
- Sennheiser HD600 (278 €)

Noise Cancelling :

Hi

I read forum from time to time. Great place! Very informative.

I thought that I end up with 2-3 open-back headphones but that was too optimistic assumption.

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 pro
Beyerdynamic Amiron Home
Beyerdynamic Tygr 300R
Takstar HF-580
Hifiman HE-4XX
Sennheiser HD58x
Philips Fidelio X2
Superlux HD-668b
Superlux HD-330
V-moda M80
KZ-EDX

I think I am set for years. But that is optimistic assumption too. :p they all give me pleasure and it is impossible to get bored for me with that equipment.
