I've thinned out my collection by selling my DT1990, T5P II and had already sold my 1000XM2's.
I now have the Oppo PM-2, Sony MDR Z7 and Audio Technica MSR7 as well as Etymotic ER4SR IEMs.
Its funny how we grow attached to sound as a result of exposure and how exposure to a different signature can change that preference.
Past: Shure E2/E3/E4/E5/E500/SE530/SE535; Westone4/4R/UM3x; Etymotic ER6; AKG K701; Grado SR325; audio technica ATH-A900LTD; Beyerdynamic DT770-250; Sennheiser HD650/HD25-1 & HD590
Present: Sennheiser HD800S; Campfire Audio Solaris; Shure SE846; UE TF10; Sennheiser HD25-II; Shure SRH440; B&O Play H3; Bose QC Triport and various other bite of useless gumpf
Future: off to Canjam London 2019 in a couple of months with a very long list of things to audition so who knows?
HE-400i (Probably the most revealing headphone I own. Planar ftw) Edit: My HE-400i just BROKE!
Current line up:
Over-Ear: Focal Elex, Sennheiser HD650 & HD58X, Audio Technica ATH-M60x
IEM: Fiio FH7, Tin T2 & P1
How do you like your HD58X?
I might do that. They are great sounding headphones, but I guess I got a poorly built version. What broke? The yoke? If so, you can get new ones from HiFiman...maybe free depending how old the cans are. They had a batch that was made with bad plastic - pretty much 100% likely to snap. They also have a newer version of the yoke that is re-enforced. When I contacted them to get my broken yoke replaced they actually sent me the re-enforced version for free.

I did: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?forums/canjam.49/The show was great, did anyone else go?
If you ask and they don't send you a replacement, I know of something that may be a bit of a shot in the dark, but at least it's cheap. Hifiman sells a $125 "hybrid" headband on their website. It's the same headband that is used for the Sundara, and is used, with orange accents added, for the later versions of the HE560. The "hybrid" comes with mounting hardware you can use to attach it to the HE400i. Adorama sells the HE560 headband for just $10. The downside is, there are no mounting screws included.I might do that. They are great sounding headphones, but I guess I got a poorly built version.
